I’m only a minute into the video and I’ve only read a few of the drones. observing the land and one of the drones stating confirmed about geological phenomenon have happened similar to tectonic plates. since it most shift faster than Ruth tectonic, please and normal earth day. if the planet does shift that fast, what if it’s sliding on giant slime.

My theory is that it's Hobson. The reason being is that he and B are the only known 2 who seen the portal. Second, Thora said that Hobson said it was functional the last time he saw it. But after all this talk about "two paths", I think Hobson used the portal and somehow regretted it. Then he came back and destroyed the portal and lived his life with Thora and told her he didn't use it but evidence is littered around. Edit: In addition, Thora seems a bit old to have children. Not that it isnt possible, just unlikely she had a child at her age.

Theres a couple drones you didnt mention that talk about a company or corporation being there with the writer of the logs, and them being "the money people instead of the engineers" so the accident that messed up the isles was definitely caused by corporate greed instead of a personal decision of whoever left the drones

@watersquid8376 I strangely find it the opposite, the ember valley is unsettling for me, especially in the mountains. The starlight strands feels comforting and peaceful compared ember valley. Also I find the sound that happens when you teleport to ember valley terrifying.

If you notice the pattern of every character making an important discovery to piece out the story (Viktor saying whoever did everything is human, mochi that they're from the future, and ogdo that they messed up the island) except seemingly Thora, who talks about she and Hobson having a child, that child being important to the rest of the story would complete the pattern

First of all, this video and the one about the first game's story explained and put together all of the story's elements very well! Second, I really like the theory with Thora and Hobson's kid, but my biggest issue is all the talk about not following their parents legacy/disappointing their parents. If Thora and Hobson are great adventurers, then surely going out onto the Far, Far Range would only reinforce that legacy more? It's not really "trying to escape their family history" if they're following in their parents' footsteps. Surely Hobson and Thora wouldn't be disappointed if their kid wanted to go explore and see the world like they did. I do like it a lot better than the future Bea theory though. idk, i don't really see how else Thora and Hobson would fit into the rest of the story otherwise, so we'll see

Ok, i'm a Spanish Speaker but i need write this. Está Bien, el juego habla sobre esta mujer que viajó a la isla arcoiris para desentrañar sus secretos. Independientemente de quien sea ella sabemos que el Laberinto Gris tuvo algo que ver en esto. De hecho, creo que se creó una paradoja temporal en la historia que es muy importante. Verás, en el Primer juego existen tecnologías antiguas como puertas y llaves, además de estatuas que necesitan plorts para activarse. Sin embargo, toda la tecnología está Inactiva y nosotros debemos restablecerla. Esto no tiene sentido, ya que si Hobson ya ha pasado por la Pradera antes sin ningún problema, entonces significa que debió él activar todo u otra persona que haya explorado el mundo primero, como el que creó la Slimepedia por ejemplo. Además, es raro porque Hobson da en sus consejos datos de la tecnología del lugar, pero como si estuviera activa, lo cual explica por qué pensaban que el portal del Desierto estaba abierto, porque aparentemente no existe ninguna forma de desactivar todo, ¿O tal vez si?. Mi teoría dice que realmente La chica de las notas entró al laberinto, como sabemos gracias a sus archivos, sin embargo el lugar parece una base alienígena, un lugar cómo las Ruinas Antiguas o el Desierto de Cristal, lleno de edificios, caminos y tecnología, casi como una Ciudad. Si esto es una ciudad, pues ahora todo tiene sentido. La Luz que sale del laberinto en el Starlight Strand es la causante de todo, cómo sabemos, pero ella simplemente lo empeoró más cuando tocó algo que no debía dentro de las ruinas. Todas las notas apuntan a que ella hizo algo adentro que reinició el sistema, seguramente haciendo que toda la tecnología del planeta se apagase y a la vez reiniciando lo que genera esa luz. Al parecer fue muy fuerte, tan fuerte que se sintió en toda la isla, despedazando el portal lleno de arena y polvo en el desierto, así cómo también todas las puertas, portales y estatuas que existían. Afectó su Conservatorio, quedó destruido y todo por su culpa. Tuvo que remediar las cosas, tuvo que irse de nuevo para adentrarse lo más posible y detener todo, pero no ha vuelto. Las notas siempre hablan como que ella se fue recientemente y no sabe si volverá, dando a entender que está en lo más profundo de la isla, tratando de encontrarse a si misma. Esto hace que ,al viajar al pasado en el caso de que haya sido El hijo de Thora y Hobson o Beatrix del futuro, ella misma haya puesto sus propias barreras en realidad, y , para hacer que el ciclo vuelva, contacta con nosotros debido a que sabe de nuestro pasado y como afectó su influencia en nosotros. De hecho, debió haberlo causado más de una vez ya que realmente todo está desactivado, incluso los portales de Rainbow Fields que unen las islas, lo cual es raro debido a que debió usarlos para volver al laberinto, aunque tal vez el barco la ayudó en eso y simplemente se ahorró otro posible accidente.

I love the theory ! Tho I really wanna know about the ancient , perhaps civilization that lived here . To create something like literal portals , holy water and many more things may imply that these creatures knew how to use magic , I wanna know what the portal at the end of the glass desert could have lead us to , and what is behind those seemingly circular doors on starlight strand near the flutter gordo , if you looked at the map you did problaby see a big grey thing there , I think that it may be a cave kinda thing , with the entrance being the cracked door like thing with light coming out of it , maybe theres a portal in there? Maybe a city? Or something beyond our immagination...?

Precisely what ive been looking for. Just finished the game and my biggest hint was on Hobson and Thoras child and, when i had to hear it from someone else. When you said it I got the most delightful goosebump of the year! The grandma also drove me away but i still want to believe it

My thought so far is Hobson and Thora's child, but theres also the detail of drones from Mochi that make me lean into maybe this being her child from the future? I personally try not to focus to heavily on a "legacy" part as i think that could be something that could come to be in the future and doesnt actively need to be the case right now. Theres also the way they make a code Viktor has to decipher that makes me think theyd have to get that knowledge from somewhere. I really love the way it makes you have to think!

In slime rancher 1 the teleporter at the end of the glass desert is broken which happened before bea got there and the drones talk about this mysterious person going to the glass desert and the machine can't just break randomly someone went there before us spied on us and when we finish the game they invite us to rainbow island to take their place for who knows what reason they chose bea

I personally think that maybe some of her friends go through the portal with Bea, specifically Mochi and Viktor, seeing as Mochi is the one who built the new drones, the game heavily implies this at least imo, and Viktor is the designer of the AI, and he based it off of himself, if im not mistaken he talks with Bea about how he and the AI are very alike, the characters lived out their lives in the past somewhere, but at some point they come to Rainbow Island or maybe Rainbow Island is their starting point, either way, Viktor makes his AI in a location where it is protected for however long it needs to be

My first theory was it was beatrix who was there before, in my opinion mochi whould give the drones to bea so yeah i thought of that too,i do think bea could make a time machine and erase her own memories so she whould save the island and relive the adventure...im not sure the child theory makes sense but the child theory could make the most sense knowing that the last story was about hobson too.

Here's my theory: First of all, someone brought plorts of saber slime from Slime Rancher 2 to The Wilds and accidentally scattered them around, so that the whole place is covered with huge amounts of saber slime. So the main area of saber slime is Powderfall Bluffs. The same person who sent us the ship in Slime Rancher 2. Do you like my theory?

I loves this video, the theories are greats but have some problems, the drones often refer to avoid his parents and family history, it could be future mochi, she wanted to disapoint her dad, wich she can do by starting a single simple ranch instead of continue her family big ranch legacy, and she might want to forget her family history because she was a rich kid who's dad didn't take enough care and she didn't seem to had any real friends before B. B could have made her want to start her ranch, and finally has she says the drones looks like something she could create in the futur and she gives the archive key later. (+ Not real arguments but in the labyrinths drone she clearly differences biseness man with ingeneer, and knowing she's from a rich family.. 🤷)

I loved the first game and I bought cloud save so I could play it when it came out but I was ultimately disappointed. I feel like they changed too many features from the first game. But I still love the lore and story of the game and want to keep up with it. I hope I will get used to the change in how the game works
