some details that might be of note -theres a broken teleporter at the end of the glass desert that hobson says could unlock the furthest reaches of the universe(mentioned in a hobson note) -the glass desert possibly used to be a lush rainforest(mentioned in tangle slime slimepedia entry) -the echos are distant memory fragments of the society that made the ancient ruins(mentioned in their slimepedia entry i believe) -BOb was, if i remember correctly, an experiment done by viktor to see if slimes could posses the same level of conciousness as humans, and now helps out as viktors assistant(mentioned in viktors side quest) sorry if i messed some of the details up, its pretty late at night and i cant really get on slime rancher right now, and i dont feel like using google so the only reference i have is the slimepedia book, which you can get on fangamer i think

this theory has very good points though i honestly think that the ancient ruins and the glass desert are the same place but at different times. this would explain why the teleporter in which you put the quantum plorts into look so similar, which would also explain why you can't see the slime sea in the glass desert, but you can in the ancient ruins. hobson even mentions the possibility of two different timelines. another thing to add is i watched someone play this and he mentioned that the oasis could possibly be converging the two different timelines and thus making a time bubble. just my thoughts though, definitely subscribed!

My guess is that they somehow (accidentally?) made the quantum slimes, and used them to open the "portal", which I think uses the quantum slimes... quantum abilities to "shift" you into a different reality or the future, which is what the glass desert is: another reality, or the future of the far far range

rainbow island is on the planet "the far far range" just like the dry reef, indigo quarry, and moss banket, ruins, etc in slime rancher 1. Slime rancher 1 took place on one single island on the far far range, and Beatrix takes a boat to rainbow island from the previous slime rancher 1 ranch. As for the glass desert, who the heck knows where that was, there are a lot of theories about time travel.

Pure sabers probably went extinct by that point and hunters don't seem like the kind of slime that would cooperate, since they're more mischievous and aggressive than normal slimes.

Firstly, HE LIVES Secondly, I always found the thought Quantum Slimes making all slimes, and subsequently themselves, somewhat plausible, as a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy. After all, they sorta disprove that time's linear in Slime Rancher, since they can exist in different realities, and, as such, in different times of those different realities. After all, a reality where everything's the same, but the time's an hour late is still a different reality. So, why couldn't quantum slimes from the future done something to make all the slimes?

Maybe the Tarr had something to do with the fall of the ancient ruins or those big bones because maybe the bones belonged to a big snake like tarr creature that was the dinosaurs of that planet and they destroyed the ruins, because maybe they burrow underground as transportation. Thats my theory.

I'm inclined to believe that those big round things aren't bones, but remains of structures. They are absolutely not the right shape to be any known kind of creature, and there are no other bones anywhere else. Those big ribcage-like structures are definitely constructed, not natural.

While I do agree the round structures that look withered with what look like wires in them are man made/ slime made, there is a set of bones in the indigo quarry that looks like it was a creature at one time. Also, Just because there are slimes on the far far range doesn't mean that a species unlike slimes couldn't exist there so I bet the bones where an entirely different species that lived before slimes.
