A friend of mine, who was so fed up with cold and snow once said that he wanted to put a snowblower in the back of his truck and start traveling south. When someone asked what that thing was in the back of the truck he knew he reached his destination. :-)

Hi Slim, love your travel videos. I just recently retired and looking forward to traveling, I picked up a 17 foot Casita camper trailer that's in excellent shape and will be pulling it with a 2017 Toyota Tundra truck. I sold all my properties in Florida and purchased 2.7 acres of land in southern Alabama. This land borders a fairly large lake, has no deed restrictions and has the well, septic system. and power pole already in place. This land will be my home base when not traveling......

October 20, 2024 Maryland, USA: Slim the USA loves you too. We know your love for the outdoors bring so much to our viewing. Your love of land is evident such as firewood and not cutting tree’s down to the reuse of wood from other projects or like with you cabin. We have an opportunity in your video’s to be educated in the history of the areas you walk through. Smart maintence with the awning. The weather looks a bit overcast where you checked and opening the awning. Oh no the whole chair went down! Some bloopers are to be expected and trust me we will laugh with you. On this very day that you uploaded this video, we are paying the price for a 60+ degree Christmas here in N.C. I'm watching the video while my sailboat on the southern coast of N.C. gets knocked around by 40 to 60 MPH winds. The temperature just peaked about an hour ago (6:00 AM) at 71 but will be around 35 tonight. Although it's not officially a hurricane, it's the same rotating low pressure system as one, it just doesn't have the heat energy to get the winds up to 70 MPH and above. I'm not sure where you are exactly but today is the last of the warm weather in western N.C. for a while - below freezing tonight so fill up on heater fuel. I always enjoy your cinematography talents.... even the silly stop motion experiment. Travel safe.

Glad to know that you made it out of the great frozen north! I, too, was shocked at the news about Camo Dave; I didn’t subscribe to his channel, but did occasionally watch his videos to catch up on important happenings on channels I do watch regularly. Sad way to start the new year! Safe travels. BTW: here in north central KY and southern IN, the temps were in the 70s on 12/27. I was hiking that day in the Hoosier Nat’l Forest and that was a bit too warm!

Welcome to USA. It’s sad you didn’t get to meet up with Camo Dave. His channel turned me on to your channel and Foresty Forest channel. Safe Travels!
