I drove a lowered truck for the first time yesterday. fell in love with it... but the truck was in bad shape far as suspension and brake goes. It was a silverado with a 6.0. Had power and quick take off but it wasnt taken car of. Yours sound just like the one I test drove.

I don't drive my lowered truck any different than I drive any other vehicle my wheels and tires are the cause of any difference in my driving. I hauled 8500pounds of lumber with my 5/7 drop 2011 silverado so yes it's still a fully capable 2wd truck.

U can just buy some 2 inch drop shackles from auto zone and it'll Lower to a 4/8

To add to your video, on an extended or crew cab Silverado or Sierra, the lowest you can drop it in the rear before having to notch the frame is 7 inches, whereas a regular cab the lowest you can go before needing a notch is 8 inches. You'd still obviously have to remove the bump stop in both scenarios.

SpaceCowboy Anything lower than 7 inches you NEED a C-Notch. you can get away with 7 inches but it hits sometimes still.

Hey man I have a question, a buddy of mine is currently lowering his 09 Silverado crew cab, he did a 2/4 drop and busted his drive shaft, he replaced it with a 2 piece drive shaft and the person that did it said that it felt and sounded like the same thing may happen again, what are the causes other than maybe the installer not knowing what he’s doing, but what could cause the problem and how can he fix it?? I’d appreciate it

get some rear air shocks. really helps out alot. just get 1/4 hose. its what i did to mine. rides like stock.

i have a 94 f150 did a 4 and 9 drop rear used to sit realy high but drivability feels almost same as stock im still on stock springs tho with stock shocks i did 3 inch dream beams and removed a 1 inch factory spacer that was under springs on rear i flipped front leafspring brackets upside down and did homade shackle extentions little longer then what they sell for this truck leafspring is still above axle the ride feels stock jst have to watch pullimg in and out of places got it hung up pretty good at a little ceasers pizza place first time i drove it in town so i had to remove tow package and have scraped frame in middle coming out of a bank its a long bed so not much center clearance for humps also putt 22s with 245 30 22 on it theres a inch and 1/8 of side wall to work with so its driven carefully .

hector I would definitely recommend a tune for sure. If not it will die all the time and won't run that good. It will drive with the stock tune but will stall all the time and it's a pain in the ass
