OMG, your looking at thousands of dollars in Alodine fluid. That is nuts.

There is a cost of corrosion... pay it now or pay it later!

You have nice mobile rack to hang parts after dipping them. Are those "homebuilt" or you procured them ? If you procured them, would you mind sharing from where they were purchased ?

The first set was ordered from Northern Tool, the second from Amazon.

You would think that Sling would do all the corrosion treatment of the skins before they ship them to the customer. I guess the skins are not 2024 T ALCLAD ?

All the aluminum is wrapped in plastic; removing it before you begin building is a time-consuming process. Sling would make the kits a lot more expensive if they did it and then performed corrosion treatment. The Sling skins are 6061-T6 which is more corrosion resistive than 2024. As a build center, we choose to use alodine versus primer for corrosion prevention. It was an expensive process to set up but easier over the long run.
