Evan, what an awesome looking aircraft. It will be nice to finally see it all assembled with pinstriping. You got plenty of help attaching the wings I hope.

It looks great! My son has a Mini Cooper Convertible painted the same color gray. Mini calls it "Moonwalk Gray"

I would also strongly recommend that you have someone apply Xpel protection film to the wheel pants, leading edges of the landing gear and the bottom of the front bonnet.. Looking really good..

Looks awesome Evan. Really like the dark colour throughout the canopy. I bet wings on for the next video ☺️ My fuselage kit has landed, hope to pick it up in a week.

Did you paint the part of the windows and windshield in dark grey on top of the black color due to sika primer?
@EvanBrunye4 жыл бұрын
Yes. You have to paint over the bonded area to protect from UV

Looks great Evan! Nice job with the design. I can’t recall if you covered in a previous video, but would you be willing to share your painting process? Looking for details like surface cleaner used, primer, number of layers, dry time between coats, is there a clear coat on top, etc.

Looks great! Did you install the springs behind the landing lights to assist with aiming? Inside is taxi and wing tip is landing.
@EvanBrunye4 жыл бұрын
Aaron Stampa ya I used the springs. They’re really soft, so it seems weird when I try to leave the top bolts looser to aim the taxi light down. Of course I used loctite but might consider using stiffer springs so it can’t shake around.

Rubbing compound will take off most of any over spray. Sometime even plane old car will do the same.
