Methyl ethyl ketone much like acetone is great at dissolving organic polymers. That's why it's useful for removing acrylic nails. Best to keep those solvents away from plastics that you don't want to turn into a puddle.

I think you're correct re: air pressure difference. A leak certainly would have shown itself on the floor of the shop

Evan, love what little I saw of the paint, can’t wait for the full reveal. I would love to take that kit off your hands and have you help build it. Unfortunately, don’t have the funds at this time. Hence the reason I have not started my build as was planned a few months ago. Life happens, but I am flying and hoping to build in the future. Evan would you be kind enough to let us know what paint gun or guns you are using? Are you spraying with an HVLP system? Also, what brand of paint are you using? My sling arrives in a couple of months and I am looking to put a paint booth together as you did.

Boomerang RC Jets Im using Sherwin Williams acry-glo paint. My paint guns are hvlp but I would not recommend my guns. They are mid range fairly inexpensive guns, and I’d highly recommend either getting good equipment or just hiring someone else to do the paint. The quality of the finished product depends on the equipment as much or more than the skill of the user

It’s a standard kit (not quick build). But that’s the advantage of working with me, the time until completion is the same or shorter than starting with quick build.

scott willson yes my first kit was standard as well. The first time through is very slow because documentation is a little weak. But after that learning curve there’s no need for the delays!
