Try dropping the whisker biscuit down a little so the arrows more level with the for wood and it'll probably not kick up as much. Great job though, very enjoyable. Seeya Rob

Yep, I think that should help with the arrow flight, thanks!
@PlatonicVoyeur8 ай бұрын
@@hudsonhertz it's weird because this is backwards from what you'd normally do for a bow - nock high usually means your rest needs to go up, but I agree it looks like it needs to come down. It would be interesting to paper tune it with bare shaft arrows.

Love your channel young man, so nice to see you got Ur lil sis involved in majority of your videos n that she's also sharp shooter. Being only child, I never got to share my passion for building n shooting with. Your workmanship on your build is top notch n very tidy. I built one of these slingshot rifle myself after seeing how accurate you got it to shoot with just a red dot sight guiding you. Keep up solid work dude. You are the very few channels that does their bands nice n tidy like slingshot channel guy and Zach Fowler n U are way younger than them too. Keep up solid builds. Subbed and watching from lil new Zealand.

DUDE; I would suggest you wear some SAFETY GLASSES, just in case those rubber straps (for whatever reason snap at the end) and come back and and hit your eye. Just to be safe.

I think you'd get a lot more velocity with crossbow bolts, cut out groove for them to ride in and lose the whisker biscuit, but that's just an after thought in hindsight from a backseat driver,,,,you did a great job man I've got to try it out

Nice concept there. I think that is you put the arrow rest like 10cm away from the rubberband stopper... arrow should fly more in a straigh line ( think of arrow rest on a bow... the bow line dont touch the arrow rest on the shoot... ) i dont know if i made my point clear 🤣

Very nice video!!! Here in Greece we make bands of the thing which is inside bike tires. It works really well I would recommend you try it!

Hey! We did that too when I was a kid (ages ago). Those are called "butyl inner tubes". And back then, car tyres also had them!! And that elastic was very powerful. Cheers!

Oh, so those inner tubes do work😮. Good cos I got some in my garage. Do they have more power than your .5mm commercial flat bands? I used inner tube to tie my bands onto the fork but didn't realise you can use em as main bands. Cheers dude. Learn something new everyday

I'm concerned that those 2 screws might give. That's a lot of energy stored and pulling on those and if they give while your behind it your gonna have a bad time. Especially if you add more bands.I'd consider bolts set backwards with nuts on the outside. Router or chisel just enough out of the end to set the bolts.. maybe even drill out the endpiece to suport slightly thicker bolts. Or use thick dowel rods that extend the stock to add suport to the end plate and in the end suport the upper part of that endpiese.. so not all the torque is on the screws

this is pretty dope! my only thought is this technically isn't a sling-bow lol. sling-bows are much more similar to a sling-shot, where you still have to hold back the bands. (for reference i'd recommend checking out SimpleShot's Hammer sling-bow) what you have made however is something equally as awesome, a sling-crossbow! i might honestly have to make one for myself, so thank you for sharing!
