Thanks! The thick brush is a blessing and a curse. On the plus side: it lets hares feel safe and I can get closer, I like to shoot through the lil windows- a real challenge. On the negative side, the recovery is hard and you get scratched up, and the footage is less than ideal. My priorities are always food first video second.

Feel free to pause a video where I show the template and trace it on your computer screen. My favorite style, the one you see most, is 4 inches wide 3/4 inch round fork tips, 2.5 in wide cup. Top to bottom about 5-6 inches. I hope that helps and good luck!

Love your videos I used to be able to hunt when I lived in Scotland. When we moved to Germany you can't hunt here without a licence and that costs about 2500 euros which is crazy. I target shoot and I was wondering how much you charge for a slingshot of yours? I love the dark one with the zebra wood it looks great. 👍👍👍👍

Your accuracy fascinates me! If you don't mind my asking, what would you say your typical, regular shooting distance is for your hares? And what might be your per shot success rate? I have snowshoes where I live, but, and I have not as yet hunted them, I have only seen one while hiking? I suspect they just watch me go by, knowing I'm not after them.

I would say my shots on hares average 15 yards. The head of a hare is about the size of a baseball so it's a pretty big target. I would say that I'm in the high 90s percent as far as shots on them. If I miss I have a tendency to miss high. You are probably walking right by them, once you get an eye for spotting them in the bushes it gets a lot easier.

On a, somewhat unrelated topic, I was wondering, what kind of lifespan do you get/expect from a set of bands with your setup? Have you experienced issues with premature failures, and if so, what do/did you attribute this to be from? Thanks in advance!!

Great question. I get a ton of longevity out of bands. Outside of abrasions from bushwhacking causing tears I don't change them for wear. I have a couple set ups that have had the same bands for like 3 years. I rotate through a bunch of different set ups, and change bands to match the temp outside. Then put the same old bands back on for the season. I cannot remember the last time I had a band set break because it simply wore out.

You've explained the green latex works best for you in such cold, I was wondering do you recommend a specific pouch for the cold as well? Does shooting 11mm rounds require a particular pouch to make sure it is long enough? Would you share the dimensions of the pouches you are using/prefer? Thanks in advance!!

Haha. Yeah I miss. I try hard not to though. This pouch is the large supersure pouch, but I don't love it. My favorite and go to pouches are made by Jim Harris at performance catapults. I use his large ones. Check him out on Facebook.
