I never tried fishing darts but I believe its the line that keeps them true, in place of flights. Snipersling and GZK both do excellent slingshot darts. I would love to see the distance they could travel. 🤔

I dont know how i come across your video, but all you need is braided line around 0.30 to 0.40 to keep it straight while fishing. Its the line that keep the dart straight. Even in gang war here in Indonesia or Philippines we used to add some tassel at the back to keep it straight and poison to add the drama. That thing used to be shoot around 50 to 60 ft for fishing and around 80 to 100 feet to shoot at people.. Tie it with some yarn and give it a shot.... also look for Indian Pana for your reference.
@411Outdoors Жыл бұрын
That’s very helpful information because these things are very inexpensive and it’s good to know how to use them

@@411Outdoors one more thing, you need heavier flatband with it.. around 0.8mm to 1mm if you plan to shoot it more than 10 meters.. or tubular band with the size of 2050 minimum... a bit heavy as we use our pinch, but practice do help.
@kennethpaschall681110 ай бұрын
An m4 fully threaded rod cut to length needed and some thread, glue and conjoined arrow fletching with the knocks cut off you'll only need the head and tail of the dart because you're making an entire shaft/fletching for it and it's still just as effective plus you'll still get a bit of range

I use the sniper sling darts and I am accurate out past 20 yards (with a hand guard and eye protection). I was using the darts you have in this video but they were extremely inaccurate. I quit firing this style of dart when they occasionally did not leave the string (because there was no fletching to keep them going straight) and came back and hit me in the face (I was using safety glasses). BE VERY CAREFULLY WHEN SHOOTING DARTS!!! The sniper sling darts have always shot great but never trust a dart and ALWAYS WEAR EYE AND HAND PROTECTION).

I’ve been wanting to get my practice it up in place so that I’m not losing my stuff all the time haha. I’m trying to learn an overhand throwing style as well. I’m hearing people are more consistent with that but I will most definitely keep this in the back of my mind as a video. I’m sure you’ll catch one pretty soon. Thanks for watching brother!

@@411Outdoors brother indeed. Yes try platting a split poutch to 4 paracords(gettin the holes right is a pain but i can email you a photo of my disign if you like. I platt 4 strings real tight; for retainer; then three for the wip end. Pre stretch as you platt. Plat away from the poutch so the energys moving to the ends. Then just wipp the cracker end about 1/4" then plat about 6 inches of kevlar; and just loop over the end in a slip knot style and use that as your trigger. Then where the kevlar meets the paracord; i sew some fishing braid in a kinda snake knot fashion; like platting; "thru the middle round the edges and thry the middle till im at the end of the cracker. Its a self tightening thing so it never gets all fuzzy. The reason i plat 4 to 3; is many reasons but mostly speed; conservatiin of energy; the consistency of the wip. You can easily untwist a plat by feel; and once you try 4 to 3 ratio; you pick ip your old 1 to 1 and go ick!! That feels wrong!?? Too slow for greek style.. Ive tried to tell acrobalkistics but hes doing 1 to 1 spliced paracord. 1 to 1 is too slow for greek. You wanna pull and aim like slingshot; and wip forward and technique is everything. Think of slapping simeone in the face; your hand comes put infront of you and around side like a kungfu slap. That way you cords dont twist. And the angle of momentum of cords is just like it wants to be as it unfolts the poutch. Il send you a link in comments here for the slow mo of how it happens

I’d try having a line and reel hooked up. Or some kind of tail. The fishing darts rely on the line to stay true.

Isn't the idea with those darts that they are for use with a spin cast reel, with the fishing line tied to the loop at the back of the dart? In that case wouldn't the drag of the fishing line do the same job as fletchings and cause the dart to fly true at longer range?
@411Outdoors2 жыл бұрын
