Slingshot RPM 2019 VS 2018 - Complete Review

Saw Real also do a review of the new RPM. They put the 2018 RPM up against the 2019 on the ground and the 19 was considerably larger in the same sz. Which opens a really interesting discussion-there really is no regulatory agency that I'm aware of that monitors kite size labelling accuracy. Lol...😊 and for years we've heard about this kites lowend, and "this kite rides big for its size".... IE-- I can't help but wonder if our favorite 12m kite with great lowend is simply a 13m kite. I'd love to see you guys explore this POV. thanks

How does the 2019 rpm boost and jump compared to the 2017+ switchblade models? Does anyone remember this? Considering trying one to get further into kiteloops.

The RPM is more of a rapid up/down kind of jump. Best for more experienced riders and loops. The Switchblade is a more lofty, floaty jump. -Tucker

@@sanderpsychologie Any loop really, the RPM will have a more friendly, tight loop. The Switchblade will have a wider arc with more power through the loop which is pretty intimidating when riding powered. -Tucker

I had a rebel in size 9 meters. Now I'm looking for a similar kite. The RPM looks more like a C kite. So less projected area. What size do I need if the Rebel was a 9?

good vid. I like boosting a lot, but i would like to start looping kites, i am currently riding a 9m rally. That being said, does the rpm boosts as much as the rally, if you would have to choose a kite for looping and freeriding in general (maybe sometimes unhooking) which kite would it be? (i like slingshot quality thats why a im keen on the rpm, but i would consider other brands), Thanks

Francisco Peña Petrizzio I'm not sure what one boost better yet. My gut says the Rally. For every thing else personally I prefer the RPM either year. For looping The RPM is excellent. Other good choices would be the freestyle kite from most brands line up. Fx, Dice dash and NV V8 are all solid for kite loops. 🤘- Rygo

Seems the UK has very little support on the slingshot RPM. I would stay away. I had a bridal fall off on a brand new 2020 model and they are telling me to get one made custom. Even basic parts seem only available in the US. The new bridal system can not be sourced on this or the 2020.

So the newer 2019-2020 RPMs REALLY have that much of an improved low end? Seriously? Always wanted an RPM but held off because have always read struggle on the low end.
