good vid. I like boosting a lot, but i would like to start looping kites, i am currently riding a 9m rally. That being said, does the rpm boosts as much as the rally, if you would have to choose a kite for looping and freeriding in general (maybe sometimes unhooking) which kite would it be? (i like slingshot quality thats why a im keen on the rpm, but i would consider other brands), Thanks

Francisco, thanks for reaching out. The Rally is an awesome kite, that's sick that you're already boosting! The Rally over the years has been a better kite for boosting and looping than the RPM, but the new 2019 RPMs are different. The new RPM this year gives much better hang time than the older RPMs, it's a beast. The RPM has a fuller wing tip and more arc in the leading edge. This translates to into much more consistent pull through the turns so way more control through kite loops. It also keeps the kite from surging like the Rally does when you unhook. The other nice thing with the 2019 RPM is that it also has better drift, which makes it perform well whether you are freeriding, riding waves, or even foiling. So even days when you aren't going big, there are tons of options. If you have any questions on getting sized up hit us up at REALPro@realwatersports.com

I had a rebel in size 9 meters. Now I'm looking for a similar kite. The RPM looks more like a C kite. So less projected area. What size do I need if the Rebel was a 9?

Thaks for the review! What about its wave/strapless performance?? I’ve been riding the rpm for the last 3 years and thought to change to the SST, should I try this new rpm?

Fernando, thanks for the reply! The answer would depend on how you ride and plan to use it. The RPM will do great in the waves, but the SST was designed for the waves. So if you are riding over 50% of the time in the waves, the SST would make more sense. If you are spending more time riding on a twin tip or in flat water, then the RPM would be better suited and then you could use it in the waves as well. Let us know if this helps or if you have any follow up questions you can hit us up at REALPro@realwatersports.com

@@REALWatersports thanks for the quick reply! very useful. 0% twintip, 100% strapless (50% waves 50% freeride/freestyle), so I´ll try the SST before. many thanks!

@@fernandogp9445 You will not be disappointed, the SSTs are epic! If you get a chance to fly a new RPM though don't pass it up, you may just end up with another kite in the quiver!

is it better than the FX? I like FX a lot but never tried RPM

I never tried FX.

John, we know a lot of people who really like the FX, but the RPM is just an absolute dream. The original RPM and the current FX are pretty comparable, but this new RPM is out of this world. We will have some of the RPMs in our lesson center if you are ever in the area, come on by and we can show it to you! Any other questions though feel free to hit us at REALPro@realwatersports.com, we are happy to help any time!
