The best unboxing I've ever seen. I once arranged my new WS board for a WS party in my living room. After that, three of my friends also bought it. The emotion sells well ;)

Waiting for the Flowcraft review. I own a WingCraft 60L V2 and found very delicate material considering the price. Thinking about getting the 55L Flowcraft apparently made of forged carbon and a completely different outline...

I came from a 60l Wing Craft V2, too and went for 55 liter on the Flow craft (-: So here's a very quick first impression: I am 65 kg (70 with wetsuit, helmet and wet vest) and I do feel the 5 liters drop in volume. The 60 liters do float a lot more and overall the board was a little more stable. I live in the middle of Germany and mainly ride on the local rivers so for me it is very important to get out of the way when tankers approach and the wind drops. I could hardly stand up with no wind on the 60 liter but the 55 just sinks. I can keep it up by pumping with my wing and generation speed but the second I stop I start to sink. I can get down on my knees to get more stable and 55 is just enough to get out of the way. In terms of speed the Flow Craft is faster, accelerates better and gets me on foil faster. The thing I like the most is how narrow it is and how hard I can lean in without the rails touching the water. Construction looks nice but I never had any issues with the Wing Craft. Weight is a little less which I appreciate. Overall I am totally happy. My main complain would be, that I wish I could drop down even more litters but with my local conditions it's just not safe. Strap inserts on the 55 are pretty far apart as I think it was made for heavier riders and probably larger ones. I guess they are closer together on the smaller ones, which I would prefer. Overall, stoke, love it !!

Thank you so much for the infos. I'm also around your weight and also need to get far out at sea to catch the swell so I need a floaty board in case the wind drops. Glad to hear that the Flowcraft is faster just what I'm looking for cause sometime that wide nose of the wing craft kind of sinks and stops. Well enjoy it and excited to see your video review 😊

Love your channel! Keep it up! Since you are referring to 2025... Will you test the One-Lock system? Aaand... i know you switched to Sabfoil Medusa Pro, but did you ride the PTM899? I just did and was totally stoked... but I hate that SS has no specialized foil for pumping for a 88 KG rider, which keeps me from swithing :( And I saw your doubts about mounting big Sabfoil foils on the SS fuselage :( Any recommendations for what system to choose right now.. the choices in the market are so confusing -.-

THANKS (-: !! First things first: If everything goes well I might be able to test and review the One-Lock VERY SOON. Fingers crossed. For a long time I have been riding both, Slingshot and Sabfoil but just like you I was missing some pumping gear in the Slingshot line up what made me use Sabfoil a lot more. I was a big fan of the PTM series and clocked some serious hours on the 926, 930 and 825. I did own more or less the whole G series at some stage but never really got into it. I have not tried the 899 yet but heard a lot of good things about it. I think if I were you I would try to postpone the decision and wait for 2025 to make a move. It's still a young sport and evolving quick. I guess there a still a few pretty good tricks up the sleeves and maybe in a couple of years we will look back and laugh about the way we mount foils now.

@@hopplinethank you for your detailed answer :) yeah I think I'll wait and monitor the used market in parallel. Do you know a good Surfsport Dealer in the Rhine Main area?

Looking forward to review on the NXT - vs v4 HH.. have you spent much time on v4 HH to compare? I am considering waiting a year for the next iteration of the nxt since it would appear that v5HH has incorporated changes..

Here's my review of the Slingwing V4: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5SyZ5JprMh8f68si=2ieWkIBJrcl3OlSU

I did like it and loved the colors and the handles but for my usage it was just a little too deep (very personal and due to my little height). The NXT might be the same, I will find out very shortly. I do like the shape of the NXT so far but time will tell. Hang time on the Slingwing V4 was amazing, hope the NXT will be similar ....

How is it in flagged mode? Quality? Vs V5?
@hoppline8 күн бұрын
I prefer the NXT over the Slingwing V5 mainly for the slimmer profile. The Alula is super nice, stiff and has a very responsive feel to it, but the slimmer profile is the key for me. You are loosing a little low end and grunt to start with but that's not a problem if you have a good pumping technique. Once you are up and riding the NXT is faster and just feel a lot more agile. One of the best wings I ever had....
