I know this was two years ago, but I just started watching you a few months ago and I think it’s still relevant, the issues you bring up about self-awareness and how people are perceiving you. I enjoy watching your talent, and how are you enjoy Pottery and thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have just started again after about 35 years, and I watch (pottery-throwing) videos now, because the person I’m learning from is talented, but I think I can learn a lot more from watching people like you and others on KZbin. It’s often the small things that add up that you share, the little tips that I can apply when I am taking a class. Thank you, and I love your technique and beautiful pottery!

While you are talking and throwing, I am watching what you are doing and taking mental notes, so I don't need you to explain in detail everything that you are doing. The fun part is watching and then going back to the wheel and figuring it out. I have just started, taken one class and I love it. It consumes my thoughts most days, I am planning a basement studio. Thanks for being you!

Matt, I will also add my thanks for the videos. I am a visual learner and have learned everything from various artists who have been gracious enough to share their knowledge. I have been able to go to Idyllwild in Ca and Anderson Ranch in Co for a couple of 2 week classes which were great but I was only able to do those due to the videos. Thanks again and please keep filming. I know I am not the only one getting great benefits from watching and practicing.

People that want to learn anything, come to KZbin, but they would also do well to just spend some time thinking their projects through. I thank you for all the videos you've made. Speaking on the convictions you have about yourself, I think it's wonderful you've reached a place in your life where you are comfortable in your own skin. I'm a firm believer in deciding each morning to be happy. Most everyone has that same opportunity to choose to be happy whatever their circumstances are. Some don't, and some don't know how; in one sense I can't be responsible for everyone else's happiness. I can share my happiness, though, given the chance. Do the best you can!

I have just started watching your channel and I am exceptionally impressed with your skill. I know it takes many years and lots of pots thrown to get to where you are. I am interested in the the equipment you have chosen and the reasons why you chose each piece of equipment. Have you done a video discussing this subject. The wood kiln and gas kiln are pretty obvious but a discussion on wheel choice, electric kiln choice, etc.. would be helpful.

If you do what you do best, like minded people will be drawn to it. Do not worry about drawing more people to you or what you do, it's like that saying "If you build it, they will come". You do you, and be comfortable with what you do. People will see your sincerity and talent.

An easy way to measure diameter is to wrap a piece of string or strip of paper around the object then take it off, lay out straight and then with a tape measure check length. Then you can divide up into equal parts.
