Praticamente sono la stessa macchina, stesso motore e stessa trazione, ma Ateca ha qualcosa in più! Mi sembra comunque una buona trazione, utile nel 90% dei casi di guida.

Both use haldex system but there may be differences in control software.

Super test i jak wielkie moje zaskoczenie znacznie skuteczniejszym działaniem trybu offroad. Sam posiadam Cuprę, ale Atecę i zastanawiam się czy siedzi w niej ten sam haldex co w Formentorze? Wiem że poliftowa wersja Ateci ma nieco zmodyfikowanego Haldexa (szybszy sprint do setki). Pozdrawiam i ogromnie szanuję Waszą pracę!

Niestety nie mamy informacji, jakie dokładnie wersje haldexa są w tych samochodach, były drobne modyfikacje - odchudzanie, zmiana silniczka na bezszczotkowy etc. Mogą też być inne wersje softu. Pozdrawiam i dziękuję!

Would there be a problem keeping the car always in offroad mode other than maybe slightly increased fuel consumption?

Sometimes the offroad mode disables (or restricts) some safety features (for example park sensors or ESP).

What is more, why would you want to do that? On the road, in any weather, it is better to stay in On road mode.

@@theblitz1687 The main goal of offroad mode is to keep all wheels spinning with the same speed. That's not desired (or even dangerous) during normal driving.

Again nice test. IMHO, drivemode on Ateca do nothing with offroad ability, probably only remap relation of accelerator pedal vs thtottle opening.

The operation of the ABS and ESP/ESC systems varies depending on the drive mode.

I am still wondering why ESP isn't blocking almost to the point of stoping slipping wheels? How hard is it to read the difference between sides and apply the brakes.

Actually it's not ESP but TC doing this job. And it's not always the point to stop or slow down the wheels excessively, wheelspin is needed.

Myślę, że teraz wszyscy producenci ustawiają swoje programy AWD na rolkach, tylko nie dla wszystkich to samo jest priorytetem. Dla tego tak potrzebny jest ten kanał😉

@@zygmuntzarzecki Nie koniecznie. Tak już na poważnie to, każdy producent ma inne priorytety przy produkcji auta, a czasem tylko przy sprzedaży. Napęd ma spełniać oczekiwania klientów, a nie wszystkim zależy na tym aby auto jeździło tak jak z 3 mechanicznymi blokadami.

@@zygmuntzarzecki Kupując auto z haldex-em klient świadomy wie, że to wspomagacz i na mokrym, lekkim, cienkim śniegu mu pomoże i ma zysk, natomiast w kopnym głębokim śniegu, gdzie zaczynasz się wieszać podwoziem, albo na błocie, gdzie wypełni ono marny bieżnik nie da rady i nie ma się co pchać w taki teren. A jak ktoś nie jest świadomy, to się dowie wcześniej czy później. :) Do cywilnej jazdy haldex wystarczy, to taki napęd na 4 koła, jak Ateka i podobne są autami terenowymi :) I napęd i buda udają inne rzeczy.
