Weird how people get upset because real life results disagree with what they thought should occur. This was an objective roller test and it did what it was meant to do without bias, good job guys

I own a 2020 Sorento and it is very impressive. Long trips on winter Northern Canadian highways and it doesn't even wiggle on the road in any conditions.

@@landspeed77 No it's a "locking diff" button which splits torque equally in all 4 wheels when it senses slippage. It's a VERY competent system BY FAR better than say a Chevy Equinox or Ford Escape. Which don't have any locking diff buttons.

Can you test the awd in the higher up model of the kia Sorrento? The one with the v6 and 8 speed auto? I would like to know if it performs the same as this base model 4 cylinder 6 speed auto.

Dynamax, czyli napęd bardzo podobny do haldexa. Testowane tu Audi nie ma torsena. Torsen sam w sobie potrzebuje pomocy kontroli trakcji, inaczej sobie w tych testach nie poradzi.

@@jaro324 W opisie zawsze podaję rok produkcji, w tym przypadku jest to 2018, czyli druga generacja. Kontrola trakcji była w każdym Q5, silniki cały czas ułożone są wzdłużnie.

Nie jestem pewien, ale poprzednio był chyba TorqTransfer System ITM-I (interactive torque management I) od Borg Warner. Obecnie jest Dynamax od Magna Powertrain.

Very similar. It looks like the main difference is that the driver in the Audi applies the throttle more aggressively and more quickly, resulting in more initial wheel spin, and higher wheel inertia that kicks the rollers back. Is that actually the case, or is it the TC in the KIA that is more aggressive and limits slip more?

Q5 driver pushed accelerator pedal a little bit harder, however Audi cars usually need that to pass these tests.

I dont know much about cars but i do think audi’s quattro is not only for offroad its always for stability while driving and I can tell cause i own one its incredibly stable so may be somewhat(insignificant)slower here but its much more pleasant to drive.

There is a few types of Quattro. This one here is very similar to Kia AWD system, it even comes from the same manufacturer.

Only software. Mechanically both are the same - Dynamax from Magna Powertrain.

No, wrong view. The Audi hast the better programmed system (differential lock on the rear axle). It's softer - on snow or mud the better way. The Kia acts "easy" and ungainly - that's not so good in real life. Only ok for urban streets. Both cars in mud or snow and you can see, how much better the Audi is. I testet both cars.

​@@ueg-zm8wfWhich axle? The audi hast the torsen self locking system between the both axle and electronic differentials on front and rear axle - a extrem clever programmend system. Go on snow or mud and you can see the difference to the KIA. Sorry, the ist not getting any better.

on rollers, sure. in real life situations things would go a little different. but in real life scenarios, things are a lot more dependent on what kind of tires you have.

@@KCKNV There is no torsen in this Audi. There is also no differential lock on the rear axle. Only traction control, in both cars. In fact both systems are very similar (shifting power from front to back), they even come from the same manufacturer.

На Ауди не Квадро, а Квадро Ультра. И почему на Ауди не использовали внедородный режим? Получается не точная информация и не объективно сделан тест.

Sorento turns off the rear-wheel drive after 3-5 seconds of slipping, flash up lamps on dushboard, turns off a bunch of electronics and becomes helpless. A lot of examples from russian ouners especially by winter.

@@4x4.tests.on.rollers its soft error with speed sensors on the wheels. After little slipping electronic turn off block imitation, after rear wheels. While car keep moving its all rights, when stucked - momently catch mistake.

Davor Vrščak Q5 has Quattro Ultra which is fake Quattro. Most Audi base models use this fake Quattro.

Ist doch gut so! Audi kooperiert auch mit KIA in Sachen Brennstoffzelle/Wasserstoff, wobei Audi sich bei KIA eingekauft hat. Und Vielleicht können Sie sich auch was für ihren Quattro Antrieb abschauen ✌

Got a Q5 quattro brilliant in the snow, had a sorento wouldn't even move in the snow, Audi wins hands down every time....

Kia's AWD will overheated in a mud in 10-15 seconds and then only the forward wheel drive. Audi's torsen maybe after 30 min. Kia only for asphalt roads.
