The old (latest 1.3 jimny) is really better than the previous years iterations. The new jimny has a finer tuned elsd (I have one and love it) but nevertheless I would have totally considered the older model price wise since it has good elsd features! Great video

Nice test, shows clearly the possibilities of the new Jimny. It have to be stated that the "electronic LSD" (based on brake operation) works great on front an rear axle.

My dad owns it from Monday (dark green, top spec, automatic gearbox). It’a very good car, also on highways. I hope it will snow soon here in the Italian Alps to test the 4x4 system

Wow! The Jimny is barely on the road and you already tested it! Awesome job on an awesome car. Possibly the best car coming out in 2019. Retro and true to its heritage and 4WD task. Not like the luxury upgrades other former 4WD's got. Wonder how much it costs in Poland? Well priced compared to other cars?

Ponoć ma więcej msca. Kierowca ok 190cm mieści się w środku. Niedługo będzie mi dane zasiąść za kółkiem a mam 196cm . Mam na niego chrapkę jako 2 auto w rodzinie, na ryby na camping itd...

This all new Jimny is an awesome car ! Sad to see they don't put into it a real engin :( imagine for exemple this car with a 2.0L diesel 150-190cv or a 1.8/2.0L petrol 200-230cv = a real tiny G-class ! Beautiful

I choose these jimny for the fuel economy. I have the AT and with mixed city highway, never reset the average and reads (after 5000km) 13.4. Including some offloading on weekends. Here fuel costs 1.4 dollars the liter. My pocket happy

A proper locker would do better but the you have the added complexity and the needed to select and deselect the lockers. Is the best elsd I have ever seen do

nie za bardzo zrozumiałem ten test, trochę brakuje mi informacji czy oba All Gripy są takie same, czym się ewentualnie różnią, bo samo to, że załączacie 4 napędy , lub 4 napędy z reduktorem , ma niewielki wpływ na zachowanie auta. W zasadzie jeśli nie było by lsd lub innych el. pomagaczy , to w każdej sytuacji oba auta powinny mieć problem z wyjazdem z pułapki.

Nie są takie same. Grand Vitara ma centralny blokowany centralny dyferencjał, Jimny nie ma go w ogóle. Reszta taka sama. Włączenie reduktora ma ogromny wpływ na zachowanie auta, ponieważ uruchamia jednocześnie inny tryb działania TC, znacznie agresywniej imitujący działanie blokad przedniego i tylnego dyfra.

To co pisałem o 4H i 4L dotyczyło aut bez wspomagaczy, nie za bardzo wiem co nowy Jimny posiada bo nie mam gdzie go obejrzeć w okolicy:( TC- to kontrola trakcji? rozumiem, ze działa tylko na zasadzie przyhamowywania poszczególnych kół?

@@darkdivision66 Moja pomyłka, nie zwróciłem uwagi, że komentarz jest pod filmem z dwoma Jimny (w innym filmie jest porównanie z GV). Zatem obydwa Jimny mają taki sam napęd, zmieniło się tylko działanie TC (kontrola trakcji), czyli hamowania kół.

@@bitte...8327 The young guy didnt use the TC as it should be. the older guy use it well. If the older guy would drive the Gimny you wouldnt notice any difference. I follow them in youtube a lot.It is always the same with the young guy. As soon as you let a bit the throttel the car stops the TC .you sould mantain firm and costant pressure on the throttel ,which abviesly the young guy fail to do almost in every test he does. sorry.

@@beneshkar2899 Didn't you notice that during tests on two rollers the driver is the same? And the difference between the cars is huge. When it comes to tests on three rollers - trust me - I know what I am doing. Many times it may look like the driver isn't pushing the throttle constant or isn't pushinh the throttle enough, but that is intervention of the system, which is changing wheel speed.

It is necessary to accelerate in the same way ... The TCS in the new model works harder in 4H mode, in 4WD-L mode they work in the same way.

I made these tests in situations of real off-road twist. No difference between the 2 models with low gears. Get the traction control specifications from Suzuki. In 4WD-L mode the TCS works in the same way.

@@danielecigo3987 Then why old one is struggling so much? Specifications of new one say about "Brake LSD Traction Control" in 4L mode. There is not a word about such thing in previous Jimny.

Slightly unfair test; in each roller test the driver of the old jimny engaged slower, this caused less forward initial inertia / momentum / weight shift. The wheels then spin up minus this helping hand, so it was harder to get off the rollers. Having said that, if money was not a problem, I would choose the new jimny due to square physical shape at the rear, plus the engine options.

Situation is different in 4L mode. There's no such difference in new Jimny, TC kicks in immediately and effectively in both modes. We made a videos of old Jimny with dashboard view, they are on our channel.

Unfair comparison, the driver without the glasses is clearly a much better driver than the one with the glasses. It's easily visible in the exit speed and amount of gas control. Much more gentle and precise. The guy with glasses presses too much on the gas and cause unnecessary wheel spin which change tc timing. Furthermore, when he exits too strong, it can break the axle. I think a fair test would be to let one driver test both cars

Myślałem nad twoimi testami na rolkach i doszedłem do wniosku że testujesz *TYLKO* możliwości off-road. Nie testujesz czy samochód dobrze zachowa się na płycie poślizgowej, czyli jadąc w deszczu albo śniegu i tracąc przyczepność niektórymi kołami na zakręcie. Tutaj jest tylko off-road, głównie powolne pokonywanie przeszkód. Może dlatego samochody typowe do off-roadu jak Suzuki i Jeep radzą sobie idealnie na rolkach, ale jak w Jeepie włączysz tryb auto to już nie przechodzi testu. Podobnie jest z napędem quatro.

Mam prawko od 1997 roku, a Ty? a jak szedłem na prawko to zwyczajnie wsiadłem do samochodu i pojechałem aż instruktor był w szoku, cały kurs na prawko polegał na tym że woziłem instruktora po miście i za miasto a on załatwiał swoje sprawy, później na końcu zrobił mi egzamin na placu który zdałem, wcześniej ojciec mnie uczył jeździć na poligonach, ale co to ma za znaczenie tutaj? jakbyś czytał artykuły o samochodach off-roadowych i oglądał amerykańskie review to pewnie byś się spotkał z opiniami że samochody w trybie off-road (i takie typowo off-road) są mało bezpieczne na normalnej drodze jak jest deszcz czy śnieg, właśnie z racji przekazywania napędu na koła które mają przyczepność, to jest potrzebne w off-roadzie jak ruszasz ale przy normalnej jeździe możesz wylecieć z drogi, bo bezpieczniejsze są takie którymi możesz kierować w poślizgu

@@NiceTubeAccount Ja mam prawko od... 1997 :-) Pytam, bo dziwnie podchodzisz do tematu. Brak przyczepności dwóch kół podczas ruszania czy jakiegoś podjazdu to nic nadzwyczajnego, do tego nie trzeba żadnego offroadu. I to symulują rolki. O reszcie właściwości jezdnych taki test nie mówi nic, zgadza się. Nie oglądam amerykańskich review, oczywistym jest, że większość samochodów terenowych jest w zasadzie nie sterowalna na normalnych drogach, co wynika z budowy napędów. Tylko Compass miał problemy w trybie Auto. Renegade, Cherokee, Vitara, S-Cross zaliczają w tym trybie wszystkie testy. Z kolei inne systemy często mają problemy, pomimo posiadania trybu Offroad.

Wydaje mi się że ciągle nie rozumiesz o czym piszę. Nie zarzucam ci że testy na rolkach są złe. Wręcz przeciwnie trafiłeś na coś innego niż wszyscy testerzy. Staram się jedynie dociec z czego wynika że jakiś samochód przechodzi test lepiej a inny gorzej. Zauważyłem że jak włączysz typowy tryb off-road (w Jeepie), albo testujesz samochód który ludzie kupują głównie z myślą o off-roadzie (Suzuki) to przechodzi test. Większość samochodów typowo drogowych nie przechodzi testu (napęd quatro). Ruszanie z miejsca to off-road. Ja mam na myśli jazdę około 60km i tracenie przyczepności przez poszczególne koła na zakrętach. Jak koło dostanie większy napęd to masz większy zryw. Obejrzyj sobie filmy na youtube Jeep Wrangler na lodzie i zobacz co się dzieje z Jeepem jak złapie kawałek asfaltu za lodowiskiem, następuje znacznie większy zryw niż w normalnym samochodzie. To takie gdybanie, warto by to było sprawdzić czy przypadkiem nie mam racji.

@@NiceTubeAccount Suzuki ma tylko jeden model do offroadu (Jimny), pozostałe to zwykłe suvy-crossovery, które nie są zaprojektowane do terenu. Z Jeepem jest podobnie, Renegade czy Cherokee to nie terenówki, co najwyżej można nimi wjechać na polną drogę czy jakiś piasek. Wszystkie mają napędy sterowane elektronicznie. To, że przy ruszaniu systemy są na tyle sprytne i skuteczne, żeby wyciągnąć auto z opresji nie oznacza, że przy 60 km/h będą reagować tak samo mocno. Takie systemy kalkulują działania w stosunku do prędkości. A taki Wrangler przy 60 km/h nie żadnego aktywnego wsparcia ze strony napędu. Przy czym to aktywne wparcie często oznacza przejście w tryb 2WD. A ruszanie to nie offroad, pierwszy lepszy przykład zwykłej drogi, gdzie pod kołami po jednej stronie jest pas lodu: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJepf5t-dq2Sr5Y Quattro w większości przechodzi te testy. 4Motion w Arteonie czy xDrive w 530i też wypadły świetnie, a te samochody nie mają nic wspólnego z offroadem, także nie jest to regułą, że marki mające jakiś pierwiastek terenowy wypadają lepiej.
