I love that nowadays metal drumming is not just technique and fast notes, but also groove, taste, musicality, and sound. Yes, sound cause a lot of old-school metal drummers sound like shit acoustically. But those drummers like Matt Halpern of Periphery, Steve Judd of Karnivool, Matt Garstka of animals as leaders, El Estepario Siberiano encapsulate nowadays metal drumming in next level.
