Craig's departure sadden me about Slipknot future music.. His contributions on WANYK and TESF were more important than ever.. Hes in every song, adding the dark/strange ambiant sounds and noises. He and Sid are what distinguish slipknot to the regular instrumental sound of a typical metal band from something unique. I mean, we'll see if the new guy is creative, and he probably is, just as Jay, V-man and Pfaff are super good musicians and obviously helped making awesome new music that was still Slipknot. But still, its hard to accept the past members are gone and not being sad about it. I'm not gonna forget Craig easily, I wish I could have met him to tell him how much I think he is good

Listened to SlipKnot since 11 years old. I am 30 now, and i never could quite put my finger on why i have loved them for this long. I guess i resonated with their "I am different/untypical to everyone else (relates to me being autistic), if you dont like that then fuck off" attitude. I loved their energy and anger. But as i got older, i realised. We resonate with them. They have been through hell and back (personal lives as well as a band), lost their closest friends (RIP Joey and Paul), and sunk into severe mental health episodes. They have shown themselves crying, having meltdowns, and everything in between. They're not some faceless band, they're human like us. They have the BALLS to get back up again and do what they love. Even if some fans dont agree with what they do or change, they do whats best for them regardless. No matter how difficult shit gets, dont be afraid to cry it out and get help. Its not 'unmanly' or weak to show emotions. It shows strength and that we are all human. We all have a short time here on earth, so lets enjoy doing what we love and not giving a fuck about what others think. Make the most of everything but take a break, dont overwork yourself.

Violently tearing most painful and tragic emotions to the surface while simultaneously calming them with a warm wave of recognition, acceptance and appreciation. Through all the deepest pain, loss and darkness this band had to face - they've never really stopped evolving to what they finally became. This sounds like something dedicated, based on a foundation of experience, pain, love and hope. Confident and willing to stick around. It feels honest somehow. Basically that's what a Maggot is destined to do. Forever. Come up, eat shit, get bigger, survive, die. "Mate, Feed, Kill, Repeat." Infinite Maggot Forever, Slipknot forever.
