On the road, we have a “jam room” set up backstage at every show, where we play, practice, warm up and sometimes try out new ideas. Bone Church started life in a jam room on the .5: The Gray Chapter tour. We’ve been bringing it closer and closer to life ever since, and finally, here it is. This one is for the fans - a further vision deeper into Slipknot’s history, which is still being written. Enjoy. -clown

it's always been apart of their sound, people really just don't listen or simply don't remember the songs going all the way back to MFKR (Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat) and the Self Titled albums. This stuff has always been there way more into the experimental stuff, it's definitely there on Iowa and Volume 3 as well. All hope is gone was a much more commercial album which was missing a couple things but still good. The Gray Chapter is where Slipknot began trending back into heaviness and experimenting again all the way up until now where the last 2 albums have been just as good as the earlier stuff just more mature as they're no longer young guys (atleast the ones creatively in charge of things). It's amazing stuff though and I'm happy to live long enough to keep seeing them put out new stuff.

Lack of support? It went number 1 on pretty much every chart and 2 on Billboard Hot 100(a chart dominated by pop music). The last 3 albums before that all went number 1!

For People who think slipknot isn't the same as they used to be. its because they aren't they grow and change with the times. And if you don't like change you probably still order chicken strips and fries everywhere you because it's what you like. Rock on 🤘

What wrong with chicken strips and fries.

There’s a difference between evolving and degrading. They do the latter. It’s like what’s the point of trying hard when they already have guitar riffs, drum patterns and lyrics, let’s change it just a bit and give the song another name. Nothing new, it’s just a worse past.

People need to quit bitching every time they drop a song that isn't the hardest shit you've ever heard. This a work of art

I was learning and doing gymnastics, I did not find music that I need. There goes Slipknot with this creative song. Very deep feeling for sports.

i love the fact that slipknot seems to understand that they have aged beyond what slipknot was. they are no longer iowa, or subliminal verses. They’re no longer the psychotic stage monsters they were 23 years ago. And instead of hopelessly attempting to stick to what slipknot is known for the way other bands try to stick to their younger musics and make themselves look silly and destroy the music’s meaning in the process, they’ve chosen to lef there music evolve with their age. this is nothing like the slipknot i’ve always known aside from circles and danger keep away, and i am completely fine with it. i don’t want to watch 50 year old men try to pretend they are who they were when they were 20, but i also don’t want to see slipknot go. there was a time when i figured those were the two options, but then, this. and this, is perfect

@TERMINATOR-0002 Жыл бұрын
They didn't evolve much at all in the mid to late 2000s but I feel like it's when we are not your kind and the end so far came that you can here bits and pieces of them evolving and changing their sound at least to me.

I would love it if Slipknot continued in this sort of direction. As much as I love the old heavy sound, songs like Adderall, Spiders and now this are such a breath of fresh air.
