The phantom pedal is because of how hard he comes down on the high hat, especially during the verses. Jay plays with an energy and sense of precision that is unmatched.

But yea this dude Jay weinbergh is my favorite drummer right now! You should see his recent recording from his home he's made........SICK!!! Little background on jay....his dad is or was the drummer for Bruce Springsteen and the e street band! Jay learned the drums at 14 and wasn't born with drum ability he had to learn it but performed with the band while on tour...few years later....slipknot! Respect for Jay in a big way! Thanks for doing this segment bruh
