I've been working on that damn solo of Psychosocial for the first time back in 2016. I realized Mick's part wasn't played with hammer-ons but with trem picking 🙈 wow, I got frustrated as I could play it like that... I never touched the song again as my left/right hand synchronisation was pretty bad. I've been always bad at playing solos to be honest... After one and a half years playing in my band OVERSENSE I tried back in may... Speed was still missing, I stopped practicing because of my exams in June. So last week I got back to it and well, it finally worked 😲🤘✌️ There are 2 seconds of Jim's legato run that mess me up. To all the people complaining about her smiling to a Slipknot song: don't be a metal elitist. Imagine how often the Slipknot guys smile during a show. They just hide it behind a mask! She enjoys what she does, don't be picky about the few times she smiles.... There are a bunch of guitar closeups, mask shots... At least she shows emotion compared to many others who covered the song. You all saw the version Adunbee did a few years ago? She constantly smiled while butchering the solo with an Out of tune guitar. Complain there! Well you can't anymore... But here the song was played well, just leave her be!

wwe moves yes man, i've heard a lot of songs from iowa but psychosocial still my favorite song because was the first song i've heard from slipknot, so this song always bring me a nostalgic felling from when i was 13 or 14 years old and started to listen to slipknot. Iowa is an amazing album but psychosocial will always bring back this feeling, because was the beginning of slipknot in my life.

wow, I so totally understand what you just described regarding trying to get certain solos, licks etc in some songs. I work on getting every part down and sometimes it's each as can be and other times I can't get anything down. I just want to scream. I stop and let the dust settle and go back and still times it doesn't happen. I talk to nmy other bandmates and they help but not like my just getting in there and working my butt off and then when everything falls into place I want to pat myself on the back.hahaha.. Congrats on getting the solo and all down, it does feel good...
