@Chaz1134 💯 %correct Paul and joey did most of there stuff to I also remember hearing about b4 Joey passed away he wrote songs specifically for Slipknot and I don't think they used any of it on there last few albums maybe there save it for there new album coming out in 2024 already done! Heard that on rock and metal channel were clown is talking about the 25th anniversary of the self titled album and how there going to be playing the self titled album in whole so scissors live again omg I can't wait heard that live in 99 and 2000 when I was 13 and 14 years old I love those early shows 6(SIC)6!!!

Still wish Mick would go back to those dissonant-sounding, noise rock-type leads from their previous albums. I dunno how popular this opinion is, but I really feel like their most recent albums felt empty for lack of those. That, and the overly-clean production. If they won’t do it, then someone else should, because that sound is indeed what real brutality sounds like.

i think its pathetic to compare two icons at this rate. jay has a style that fits slipknot and so did joey, especially for their eras respectively. why compare them? so dumb.

He's right. Jay is essentially the "straight A" student from a good family. Highly proficient but lacking the "it factor" and emotion of someone like Joey who struggled to be as good as he was.

Seeing Joey play with Korn at Download in 07 was my dream come true. Then seeing korn and Slipknot tour together was the last part of the dream come true. After Slipknot were so anti-korn on their first tour, I never thought we'd see it. Turns out Joey loved korn and even the logo was based on the way the Korn logo looked!
