Okay I see a lot of people in here taking about how they couldn't see or hear anything. So in this song Sid does this beat juggle with two synth notes that are on two different vinyls, you can hear it distinctly throughout the song during bridges, the intro and right before verses. That section in the video is him juggling been the higher pitched and lower pitched one before using either his tempo slider or digitech whammy to pitch up the sample into a riser. It's pretty cool and because of this video I've learnt how to properly scratch the song. I've done a demo on my channel if you're still kinds confused about what exactly is going on here.

Incredible he can toggle between two records and manage to synchronise the sound without fail. Still love the very first album! Hyper-Compression has been around since the 1940s, though never prevailed particularly on studio albums until the mid-90s. Since then from the 90s, the 00s, 10s and even today the process is finally beginning to wane down. For example Green Day's American Idiot was slightly remastered to where it can have negative space for dynamics and better loudness without distortion or hearing damage. I grew up with the first two to three albums and felt so sorry for all genres that suffered the Hyper-Compressed Master or Re-Masters. Dynamic Range is the quintessential additiveness to Music. It is what makes a song, live show or even a Mastered studio album with Subtle Compression, speak and breathe billions of miles to travel to everyone's ears and hearts.

If you pay attention, the whole section is there in the album version and in live versions is even more clear. Sid does a lot of layering stuff that people don't even notice, but if you take that away, it would not sound like Slipknot. Turntables (mostly scratching but beatjuggling too like here, samples and percussions are basic for the Slipknot signature sound. People that wanna remove that, theyre trying to make them a generic metal band or what?..

@marcdelossantos41352 ай бұрын
It is, but sounds very low in the mix. In some live versions sounds louder, but it is there. The thing is, why is most albums some members sounds low volume. In All Hope Is Gone, paying attention, Sid does A LOT but then in the mix, gets buried. Finally in the last album is high again like in the first album, where all the instruments were clear and, in my opinion, very well balanced, which is not easy. Also in Vol.3 Sid is all over the place, but once again buried in the mix. As a turntablist dj I could hear a lot of that, but paying HARD attention😂😂😂

He's got two copies of the same record on either turntable, one is pitched up to spin slightly faster and play a higher note, the other is lower and he's using the crossfader to quickly switch back and forth between the two to the beat. He has to spin each record back every so often, while its muted and the other is playing, to stay at that part of the song that he's sampling.
