@zombiegone207310 жыл бұрын
Such a well done song, the opening obviously represents the members coming together, as people, not as beings in masks, and focusing on saying their goodbyes to Paul before anything else, and the escalation is the realization that Slipknot didn't die with Paul, the realization that they were still capable of creating music, which is what Paul would've wanted. Slipknot is more than a band, it's a brotherhood, and Paul's death was the hardest thing they ever had to face, this album, and song, are proof that Slipknot is still here, even throughout challenges that would've torn most bands apart. R.I.P. Paul.

[Chorus] A long time ago we discovered that nothing could stop us! This hasn't torn us apart, so nothing ever will! How can we know where we are if the sun is behind us? But this moment will show us the rest of our lives! No one is going to save us this time! No one can know what we're feeling! So don't even try!

Growing up is being able to fully appreciate the truly hard-hitting tracks. As great as their frantic melodies may be, these will always hit and cut the heaviest and deepest.

This song is dedicated for Paul. This song is dedicated for Gabrielle. This song is dedicated for everyone we've lost or will lose. It doesn't matter if they've passed away or just disappeared from your life. It is for all of us. People think metal musicians or metal listeners are mostly satanists or psychopaths, but the truth is, they're one of the greatest people out there and they don't care about how bad things happened to you. They will try to help you. With they're words, voices and also they're screams. So if you think that everything sucks, remember we are great community that supports each other. We're here for you no matter what. Sending love to Gabrielle, Clown, Paul, Chester, Chris, Kurt, to hundreds of other rock/metal singers and to each one of you.

Come on over Come unglued It's not easy To see all of you Help yourselves Help is on the way Well there's nothing to lose So now, I have something to say Maybe we can all recognize a moment of silence Maybe we can finally agree on the same point of view A long time ago we believed and we were united So the last thing on Earth I am ready to do is say goodbye A long time ago we discovered that nothing could stop us This hasn't torn us apart, so nothing ever will How can we know where we are if the sun is behind us? But this moment will show us the rest of our lives No one is going to save us this time No one can know what we're feeling. So don't even try
