Slipping Torque converter '05 XC90 V8

Video footage from passenger side engine compartment. You can see the transmission shuttering from the slipping torque converter at minute 2:30 The shutter was noticeable at low speed at 1500-1800 rpm. I originally thought it was a bad CV axle.

Transmission flush did the trick for my XC90! No more problems what so ever - amazing.

Did it vibarate the car at certain RPM and make hard shifts

I don't recall. At first I thought it was a bad cv joint. Replaced them like an idiot. No hard shifts, but I had shift flares. At the end I sold the vehicle because it wasn't worth the repair cost. Would have to drop the engine to replace the trans. Then you minus well replace the bad seals on the engine, including the bearings on the counter balance. You have to understand automatic trans and torque converters do not last forever; both are wear items. I suspected the torque converter was going bad, and the clutches and valve body were going bad too. I don't believe the trans was designed to handle the power of the v8.

I did not replace the torque converter because it would cost too much to replace. I replaced the fluid which eliminated the issue for about 8 months, but the shuttering came back, but not as bad. The shuttering originally started when I replaced the transmission fluid using Amsoil. So I may need to replace the flush out the system again with new fluid.

I have a Xc90 V8, 250.000 km and have had some shaking at low rpm from time to time and unsteady rpm the last month or so. I just got the transmission flushes to day - hope it takes care of the issue.

@@kasperahlmann8631 Did it take care of the issue? I'm having the same problem on my 08 XC90 V8. I'm considering getting a new torque converter installed but wanted to try a flush first.
