Slitterhead First Impressions - Hit or Miss?

Loved your voice in this, and honestly want to see you succeed, I think there is a lot of good already in what you are doing! First of all, as always, this is just the thoughts & criticisms of one person, always analyze to see if it makes sense with what you are doing and what you want. As someone who randomly got this video recommended, I came in expecting you to address directly what were those points of division were (because as someone who is curious about the game, but this is literally the first video I see about it, I have no clue). The points felt very meandery, like you were being guided by what the footage was showing on screen rather than you guiding what should be shown. For each of the points you later brought up, you gave a "we'll see, I am still early on" type response, and left me feeling I hadn't learned much about the game other than the fact it is janky. For a game that you talked so much about the division initially and in the title and thumbnail, I came out feeling like it is a middle of the road average janky game. While you mentioned it has some interesting ideas, a lot of middle of the road, janky games can have interesting ideas, but it usually can't carry the game. I want to know if YOU think despite all of the issues the positives can carry it or not. I clicked on it to hear an opinion and you are entitled to have an opinion that as a whole sounded like "meh", but I doubt that is how you feel, because it seemed like you had thoughts on specific, but before you could express them, you jumped to the next thing. No clue if this is the case, but if you are feeling unsure about how to order things (and express them), write the main points down and ask "Did I like this, yes or no" after you answer yes or no, ask yourself why, have yourself explain it to yourself. Even if you end up just talking off the top of your head you know what your feelings are. Sorry if this came off too harsh, I just really liked your voice (not just physical, but tone, rhythm, and more) and I want to see more from you, but it just feels like you need a bit more to get there with these sorts of videos. Def subbing though, curious about what you do next!

I sincerely appreciate all of that feedback, it is very difficult and rare to get that level of it. That will be reread, and notes will be taken. Thank you for taking the time to write that out and give the advice without knowing how it would be received.

Saw this at a local game store and now that I’m seeing the footage it looks more of an action title than horror. Nothing wrong with that, just not a go to if you want something scary. Thanks for the review dude!

Have you ever tried eating grape nuts? Its a lot like that. At first they suck but after the milk softens them, they aren't terrible
