I just heard this song on SiriusXM 's #LSUG. I agree! They remind me of Badfinger and a number of other great pop/rock bands. They should be MUCH more popular in the US. I'm glad to JUST (😮) discovered them!😊. Little Steven is great at finding great music that doesn't get airplay here.❤

If Americans here knew what great songs were, Sloan would be selling millions here. Unfortunately, they don't. Whenever I see a Sloan show, I feel like I'm watching a seasoned arena band and then some. These guys are so damned talented. I listen to A LOT of different stuff, from very obscure to classic, etc. Sloan are unique, and just so much better than so many bands. They aren't afraid to write hooks, the songs are infectious, the personalities of the members are easy to like. Sloan has a Beatles/Kiss vibe with their fans, you can have a favorite member...a favorite writer...and they never disappoint. I am so happy I discovered them for myself in 1999. There are only 2 bands that I will see multiple times: Kiss (but not the current lineup) and Sloan. LOVE these guys.

I couldn't agree more. Very unique with 4 equally talented song writers. I gave up on them being popular here in the US a long time ago but glad to have the band in my life. I know how the band likes Kiss so that makes sense what you said.

Ditto, makes me think of how popular Badfinger and the Posies should have been. That's some drumming, man!

Joeythebabykangaroo here’s one American who knows just how incredible these guys are. It’s pathetic that they did not make it big here. To me these guys are legendary. They just really know how to write great songs. Their vast library of amazing tunes is proof of that! Other than the Foo Fighters and Weezer I can’t think of any American bands that started in the early 90’s and come even close to comparing to Sloan! Just pathetic

No name Brand sure there are pockets of fans here (especially in Buffalo where I live) but that’s about it. Joeythebabykangaroo was absolutely right. Sloan did not make it here and by and large they are completely anonymous. You obviously have taste and know your stuff but the random American has not ever heard of Sloan!

I love the first 2 songs so far. Well done guys. These songs would appeal to long time fans and new ones. Can't wait to hear the contributions from Jay and Andrew as well. Pentland and Murphy have set the bar very high!! This sounds like it could fit nicely on Pretty Together or Parallel Play

Sloan may get pissed on alot...get it..? Oh well, They are the definition of a power pop band. They incorporate every sense of "hook". Vocals, guitar, drums, bass. A band. Perfect. The most entertaining band live. They have "it". Go see them! The talent--they even switch instruments--is fun-loving, youthful exuberance on stage. If you haven't heard them, and you are a classic rock/FM rock radio guy, listen to them. You get a new appreciation of a good "rock 'n' roll song"!

I always look forward to hearing new materail from Sloan but 'Spin our Wheels?' Really Sloan?! Borrring, yawn yawn... Just sounds like they took and recycled some of thier old songs into one. I know this band is capable of better. Or maybe thier creative well is running dry after all these years. But I still need to hear more of thier new stuff yet. Hopefully not more of the same.
