Have always loved this song and its lyrics, how funny and clever they are. Also, used to watch this video on VHS (taped off TV during a Sloan special!) and put it on slow mo and/or pause at moments where we thought they looked extremely cute. … Wait, that’s not normal, you say?! 😮😂

If Sloan was from the north shore of Boston, the line would have been “She told me to loosen up on her way to the packy.” (Packy = package store, where beer, alcohol, tobacco etc is sold)
