I always thought Chris played guitar and Jay played bass until 2 years ago. When I noticed they didn't at a live show it blew my mind. Thanks Sloan.

I was literally JUST listening to this yesterday asking myself “why did they never make a video for this classic?” And one day later, this is uploaded!

This video was shot by The Super Friendz' Matt Murphy, while the band were on their 1993 US Tour, in the Spring of 1993.This video has never been released until now.

Thanks for the clarification! Back in the day, I wondered why they never released a video for it, but thought that it was possible that there was and I had just never seen it.

I am still wearing coats a size too big for me. More comfortable. The styles were much better in this era.

Is that even Jay? It doesn't look like him.
@neilwhitaker628414 күн бұрын
@@brufrog he was the one I recognized ha. I guess its in the eye of the beholder or whatever. It was Pentland I couldn't recognize and not sure which is him or Murphy. I'm assuming Murphy on bass but not sure lol.

My first Sloan song, way back in, what, 1992? '93? On 96.3 out of Ann Arbor, probably. Underwhelmed is my all time fave, but this one will always hold a special place in my heart as well.

Awesome! When I had bought Smeared at the time, I didn't know who was who, and who sang what song. The liner notes didn't help, because all members sang and played instruments. All I knew is that whoever sang and or wrote "Sugartune" had written the best song and had the best voice. I still feel that way. Pat's songs always tend to be the big hit singles, and Chris Murphy is a ridiculously close 2nd. But for me, Pat is John Lennon in the Beatles or Brett Gurewitz in Bad Religion; even amongst great writers and great talents, their songs manage to soar a bit higher.
