12:18 Correct, counters are not considered card text so using Showdown there would only result in the Mite being able to block and losing toxic 1.

This is a fun deck if you don't get hit with the sham of Wizards' matchmaking. Today, for example, I was playing a control deck and ran into 5 matches in a row of boros or mono red. So, I switch to a lifegain deck to combat those decks and I run into 4 matchups in a row against control. What gives, Wizards? You can't tell me they aren't using some AI to pull some strings in the background. It's a total scam.

Oh it's no secret. Wizards doesn't hide or deny it. The best I can say is to play BO3. It removes the shuffler fixing and feels at least a little more balanced in terms of matchmaking. Though in truth that could be because in BO3 there aren't that many mono red decks since everyone side boards wraths for them and they just get shit on anywhere above gold

I remember two more interactions about Showdown, is that it can hit through indestructable counters, and kill tokens who has power and toughness equals to X/X(such as those from Smithy)

That 2nd game leading after going to 1hp I'm thinking, "No way....there's no way he top decks a board clear". Then you scry 2 into 2 temp lockdowns and casually say, "....cool....". Incredibly good at magic.

Since Final Showdown is an Instant, you can kill his manlands if he activates them to block on your turn. That's a major upgrade for Control, especially since we can keep one of our guys alive at the same time 🙂. I *believe* that when it resolves, the effects are applied in the order they are written on the card, so it ought to be possible to use all three modes at once if necessary, and still save our creature?

Yep, you are completely correct :) Card is made in such a way, that you can save your creature, while sweeping everything else - just all around premium sweeper (but of course mana cost reflects it)

I believe we did one when faeries were introduced with previous sets, I think it would more or less be similar deck - while faeries are very cool, I believe it's very hard to win against red decks with it - so no promises. I'll check if there is any competitiveness in this tribe, but I didn't see it anywhere since months, unfortunately 🤷‍♂️❤🦥

Hmm… Oko has been out how long and you are just now realizing how strong Oko is? A little slow but better late to the dance than never. You should try Oko with Mirror Box before it rotates. Brokers Ascendancy too. Throw in Jace, Reawakened and you will see.

Sloth played Oko in Sultai Control before, and it really popped off. Your combination with Mirror Box sounds VERY intriguing.
