He will if he keeps playing be in a big time band some day playing his own stuff and when that happens I will continue to listen to him, Good job Rony don't quit what you are doing. I've played for a year and seriously what he plays is easy you don't understand, playing a harmonic and then raising a whammy bar is easy, playing smoke on the water is easy, playing a solo by just spamming a note and pinch harmonics are easy, his guitar is very good and so is he but the people who complain are not wrong I am a very dedicated 11 year old guitar player and he is good but not national talent show winner good I could play most of the songs he has played and other songs that I don't know if he could play from what he showed

It was not just him playing guitar, it was him connecting with the crowd. There is playing guitar and then their is coaxing the soul from it and getting the crowd to feel the music, to give them energy, to thrill at their command. That is a musicians gift and he has it.

I like coming on you Tube to explore all the talented people out there in the world...if it wasn't for technology like this, I would have never known about this kid.... I know know he's older now...but he if gifted. He is the best child guitarist I have ever seen on U Tube..... I know now he's in his teen manhood now...and will be CROWNED the next Randy Roads ....ever Zack Wildely GOTTA love this kid ....hope I spelled those names right.... He wasn't actually playing anything difficult... in fact most of the stuff he was playing was around as technical as smoke on the water (and at parts less.) I think you're giving him A bit too much credit, It's not like he was even playing the solos of even the simpler songs he was covering here.... he just chose the easier parts and played them in succession and if that's what it takes to become "randy roads" then maybe everyone should stop idolizing him.

He's in a professional group now and I'm not sure of the name. Search for John Wolfhooker on youtube and you'll see the video they just put out. You'll be impressed and no, it's not Smoke on the Water.

There are actually quite a few talented kid guitarists around at the moment - search KZbin for Yuto Miyazawa (playing Blizzcon '09 with Ozzy Ozbourne when he was 9 years old!), or if you prefer blues, try Quinn Sullivan or Tallan Noble Latz.

He plays really clearly and cleanly, which is something lots of guitarists are missing nowadays. One who plays tight and smoothly at a moderate speed, is much better than a guitarist who plays fast but sloppily

Let this kid slowly grow. Let him develop his own tone. I mean it's good he has a Zakk Wylde tone/Randy Rhoads (RIP) tone, he adapted from legends! But he has potential to end up being a cornerstone in History if he just takes his time. All the covers are sweet, and he can really jam out, but let his band get back together, and let them grow! I agree with this, enough distortion makes anything sound good, that's why genres like deathcore and metalcore are popular. "oh it's so br00tal" naw..."its so simplistic" is more like it. This is why i have respect for guitarists like Alex Lifeson and Al Di Meola, and also for death metal, they write their music on a clean channel before playing distorted.

I know at his age he is average. I know a boy who was only 13 playing Opeth and now he's in college for music theory. This kid was playing stuff like I was playing at 12 and I was not impressed by my skills. I play slide guitar now and love it.
