I love that in Slovenia, meeting people, and then singing together, and drinking schnapps, making time for what is important in life - like you say, it is just so beautiful. Really beautiful! Nice to see lots of children (from extended family, I guess.) A note for tourists: "Turistična kmetija" is a farm with guestrooms that also serves delicious homemade food, usually made from ingredients grown right there. There are many of those all over Slovenia (and in the neighborhood, too). And, as I said elsewhere, Slovenes are incapable of preparing bad food. (BTW, I didn't see you with this long hair before.)

Just the other day I was doing some research on my ancestors on my dad's side and it was so interesting to see the places you're going through, because around 6-9 generations (at least) have come from the areas around where you were (mostly Gorenja Žetina, Podobeno, Podvrh and Dolenčice)... There's probably nothing, but just for fun I typed in Dolenc and there was one match in 1866 with that last name by proxy through marriage and just thought to share. Then again... Slovenia is so small a lot of Slovenes are likely related if you go back enough. I just thought I'd share. Next time I go to my brother to Srednje brdo I might go long way round and explore those towns.
