It's been awhile since I've communicated and done a ton of cooking because my health took a turn but you were the first person I thought of when I needed to meal prep before another medical procedure. I had emergency surgery not long ago & luckily for me, had several of your meals prepped for a rainy day in my freezer. I came back today to gather up another list to get prepared for the next few weeks for another procedure tomorrow. Now I'm 50+ and pretty much useless in the kitchen. Guide your son to Josh Cortis's channel too. He does a lot of freezer/prep meals where he can make a bunch of stuff and have it ready for the week.

I have a mother who started me and 3 sisters at a very young age to be responsible for keeping a household clean etc. I had my own kids, I swore I would never put them through that. I agree with you, he might be 18, but he’s still kid inside. I hear “This is so boring” everyday Hahaha! I’m going to take your advice and guide him over to Josh Cortis’s channel. Julia, I love how you pull together these themed videos. So helpful!! I haven't tried to do too many prep ahead meals, but these give me ideas for additional items I can prep ahead for the freezer in addition to making the batches of shredded chicken -- like a big batch of taco meat (chicken or ground beef), homemade meatballs, and stuff like that. They are called slow cooker liners. I don't think they are freezer safe. You can get them at Walmart, Target & probably any store that sells slow cookers.

I make already freezer bag sausage and peppers now, but I use a bag of frozen peppers and onions instead of cutting fresh which helps save time and money to prep and cook. Keep your great recipes coming Julia!

Love your hair like that, Julia!!♡ You're such a lovely person!!♡ Sadly, because of a tick bite I got last year, I now have Alpha Gal syndrome and am deathly alergic to all mammal meats. So pork (ham, bacon, sausage), deer, beef, lamb, rabbit, etc... along with all the dairy products, gelatine (because its from mammal hoofs), and some medications and vaccines... I react if I even try to cook mammal for my family, from the fumes... So I cannot enjoy very many recipes anymore unless I can substitute for turkey sausage ect. Substituting isn't always worth it tho lol so love recipes I can make as written as much as possible, like the chicken tacos and honey garlic chicken!! I can eat birds and seafood!! So thank you for chicken recipes lately!! ♡♡

@@JuliaPacheco I had anaphylaxis... so my throat and tongue and cheeks was swelling up... happen 6 times in about 2 weeks time. Decided I shouldn't try to just keep taking benadryl lol so went to urgent care and got help from there! My allergist I was able to amazingly get quickly and he had the skin prick test done and blood work. It showed up in my blood stream. When the tick bites you it enters your blood stream... making you allergic to the carbohydrate called alpha gal. Humans do not produce it, although we can obviously eat animals that contain it... but once it's in our blood stream we become allergic!

I read that you're not supposed to put anything frozen into your slow cooker because it causes bacteria to grow on top of the frozen item. I always thaw whatever I'm putting into the slow cooker. Just an FYI 😊

Oh my goodness.. Macie is getting so big!! She's such a cutie!! With groceries being as expensive as it is. I've been using my crockpot quite a bit to squeeze more than 1 meal for us.. Just my husband and I here. But I love the idea of freezer meal prep as I can take advantage of sales and put together some great meals!! As always... Love your videos!!

Thanks for the recipes, they all look good but the meatballs you made are not Swedish Meatballs. It kind of pains me you call them that, lol. I don't doubt they're delicious, my step mom used to make something very similar she called meatballs and gravy but Swedish Meatballs are specifically made with ground pork, ground beef, cooked in butter with a pan made gravy in the same pan, (no mushrooms or sour cream) and are served with potatoes, pickle slices and lingonberries. Cranberries can be substituted. Anyway, thanks for the recipes, I will be trying some of them.

I have a question: It’s in regards to every video. I got excited to see that you put a picture as the initial beginning of all the ingredients needed for each recipe. I am a visual learner. Have you thought of incorporating a picture of the ingredients needed for each individual segment. Or at least the initial picture without any text over it? It would be nice to be able to take a snapshot of the ingredients needed. It would help me visually know what I need to get out of my pantry or store…just by looking at an initial picture of ingredients for each.
