Julia, I love how you pull together these themed videos. So helpful!! I haven't tried to do too many prep ahead meals, but these give me ideas for additional items I can prep ahead for the freezer in addition to making the batches of shredded chicken -- like a big batch of taco meat (chicken or ground beef), homemade meatballs, and stuff like that. Added tip from someone who relies on crock pot freezer meals made ahead. I put the ingredients directly into crock pot liners. I have designated zip locks for meals I make with all the directions on it. I just pull one of those, put a tightly twist tied liner bag into the corresponding ziplock to put in the freezer. Defrost and put the liner directly into the crock pot. That way the clean up is a snap, and I don't have to wash or use up new ziplocks and have to rewrite all that over again. Doing this has saved me a lot of time and money.

Now I'm 50+ and pretty much useless in the kitchen. Guide your son to Josh Cortis's channel too. He does a lot of freezer/prep meals where he can make a bunch of stuff and have it ready for the week.

I need to clean out my freezer. So I can make some of these. I never know what to make for dinner. This would make it so easy. Just grab a bag and you have dinner. Maybe a side or something to go with it. That’s so easy. And I’m all about easy with little clean up. You have the best channel on You Tube.

Hey Julia! Thank you for all the meal inspiration. I love your videos! What I do for the broth is add better than bullion or bullion powder (1 tsp for each cup of broth) to the bag, then on cooking day you just need to add water and your freezer bag won’t be over full 😊

Julia, my family & I had one of your recipes from a video 1 year ago. It is the Tater Tot Casserole. It was really delicious. We all loved it. My daughter Kelly is 41 & has Down Syndrome. So we always looking for family friendly recipes. Also, I’m doing Weight Watchers, so we adjusted a few things. We used a really lean ground beef, the Healthy Request Soup, 1% milk & a low fat cheese. We all really enjoyed it, it had great flavor. I have a feeling it will become a family favorite.
