Great ideas Maria! I love my crock pot and use it several times a month. I made an over night Breakfast Casserole for Thanksgiving. It was very good, cooked sausage, thawed frozen hash browns, eggs, milk, and cheese. If your feeding a crowd it is great, but for a couple of people it was too much. The short ribs dinner looked great! Beef is out of this world expensive. I am making Crock Pot Pot Roast with onions, sliced mushrooms, and a can of cream of mushroom mixed with one half can of milk. Cook on low for 7 to 8 hours. So good, I have mashed potatoes and a green vegetable. A great holiday dinner. I am making homemade Lasagna for Christmas Eve with Cole%’s Garlic Bread, Salad, Wine. Yummy!

To replace the volume of the nuts in your French Toast Casserole just use rolled oats in the same amount as the nuts. Delicious and nutritious.

In my experience it doesn’t fluff like white rice and it definitely takes longer 😃
