This was fascinating in a non-budgeting kind of way, and I'm here for it.

I just joined a new gym class, and I can confirm that was the longest hour of my life. It definitely slowed down time😅

I love this video! Enabling life fulfillment by leveraging your money (and YNAB). There is a direct correlation between money and joy.

I started making photo books every year. My GF and I make a big shared album of all of our favorite photos from the year. Then I completely into a photo book and have it printed. It’s fun to look back at the books. Also I started added little dates and titles. “06/13 glass animal at Red Rocks” i think that will be nice way in the future when I am likely to forget stuff

Loved this one ~ my adult kid has recently moved out and started his "real" life, and now I'm picking up more of mine too! Great tip on what makes memorable events. It really is fun to try new things even if they're not big ~ and is definitely connected to budgeting! I also really like the idea of the "story" journal ~ a fabulous twist on gratitude journaling which I find repetitive and boring after the first couple of days.

We think we'll never forget all those cute kid things, but we do. I've been using the Day One Journal app for tracking life's little moments this year. You might enjoy that, too.

Considering the amount of my brain space that is apparently dedicated to 80s song lyrics this seems correct.

My first for this month (September 2024) just done right before watching this video is I bought a puzzle and frame in RM330 (in my country's currency) and it's a BIG amount of money! But I'm excited because 1. It's my birthday month and I want to reward myself 2. I'm using YNAB to budget this 3. I can bet my life that this 2000-pieces puzzle will slow down my time as it "puzzles" me 😂

Have I mentioned I LOVE your videos, Ben?! Thank you for this! I'm in my mid-twenties and life has had so many firsts over the past 5 years, that it's felt like more like a decade. I'll keep stirring some "firsts" into my life as time slows down. :)

I've been doing the whole bullet journal method on and off for several years and it accomplishes a similar "daily journal" storytelling. It's fun to find a different journal from years ago and re-experience my daily life in the mundane and in the noteworthy. I'll open a page from when I was 6 years younger and see what were the top priorities for a random day, and it's interesting to experience the entirety of a boring day in a routine. BTW I know bullet journal is like a company now and has a specific journal for you to buy but my first bullet journal was a cheap "Bazic" spiral bound notebook and it worked wonderfully. Don't feel the need to buy branded products to take advantage of a system. Use the notebook you already like.
