This week I'm canning some pickles from our garden haul, decorating for 4th of July weekend, baking some homemade hamburger buns and FINALLY getting to a sewing project I've waited centuries to complete... okay, slight exaggeration... a decade though! One thing I do with some of the cucumbers is puree them, put in ice cube tray until frozen and then have the cubes that I add to smoothies. It's so refreshing. I made bread and butter pickles for the first-time last year and I'm definitely going to make some more because I'm down to one jar left! Love those pillows!

That’s a great idea, thanks for sharing! And yes we were out of pickles so it was time! I’m trying to start tracking each year how much we put up and how long it lasts us so I can have a goal for each harvest to last us a year. 🙌

That's a great question! I believe it's to keep the pickles as crisp as possible when canning :)
