Yes but slower, the Brits slow march at 67 BPM and in Australia we slow march at 70 BPM. There paces are also different

@@Shimshashuii2743 I can't speak for the army but the RAAF dose all it's drill according to part 1 of the Air Force Drill and Ceremonial Manual (www.pdf-archive.com/2017/11/04/afdcman/). Being an Air Force Cadet (Australias equivalent of the Civil Air Patrol and AFJROTC) I might be a little bias but the RAAF does the best drill in the ADF. The US could learn a lot from us

The culture of the military was widely dominated by European military culture, especially British and French, at the time of the US Marine's formation. It isn't really a surprise that some aspects of American military tradition, such as this slow march, were inherited and or based around the commonwealth style of slow march.

@@Shimshashuii2743 yes, it’s a very distinctly British style of slow marching. Most militaries use some form of slow march step, but the really “baroque” style seen here is definitely derived from British foot drill.

Oh yh I forgot to mention its because of Scottish immigrants and as allies we tend to use eachothers marches the brits love national emblem march and other american marches that they usually play...after Scotland the brave the usmc usually play minstrel boy and yorckscher march
