It’s respect for anyone, no Matter who they are. I remember seeing a video of a plane landing in the us. The crew asked passengers to please remain seated while a coffin with someone who died in the armed forces, was removed, put into the hearse, then him & his family we’re driven away 😤😤😤 they took no damn notice! I don’t care who it was my backside would be seated until they had gone. I wouldn’t have been gawping out of the window either. I can’t tell you how angry I was watching it. I really can’t stand trump, but if it was him in the coffin I’d do the same. It’s respect. Have some yourself and show it for others. When someone has passed it’s very likely they will be leaving heartbroken people. I taught in a school with a church about 100 metres away and it was one of the main routes to a cemetery and cremation site. So we’d set off somewhere with children and quite often a funeral would pass. The children would stand still, fall silent and avert their gaze. They didn’t have to be prompted. That’s children from 3 and half to 11. No excuses for adults. Is it because I’m in the uk 🤷🏼♀️ I don’t know
@lilacscentedfushias18523 жыл бұрын
Maybe it’s because as a Brit I do enjoy a bit of pomp and ceremony. The precision & order appeals to the Aspergers part of me. I seem to remember a few years ago there was something for world leaders, most went to a famous and close by war memorial, cemetery. Trump didn’t. That’s disrespectful! I’m in engulf but while driving through France and Belgium we always stopped for a few minutes at least. In the uk during ww2 we held n**i (sorry I won’t say or type that word) state funerals for their officers killed over the uk. They are buried here, respect doesn’t cost much. I’m on the fence about having a full pomp and ceremony affair, but wasn’t a choice I had to make. My grandad was taken from his village in Ukraine at 14, taken to Germany to work on farms because they didn’t have enough labour. One farm treated him like a son. We have to keep in our minds not everyone is bad. If only world leaders had to fight in a ring instead of thousands of people dying When his hat came off I could hear NCIS Gibbs saying ‘it’s a cover’
