So soothing with the slo mo and gentle background music.

Very cool. I would love to have seen from the side in slo mo too, as well as from behind. But from behind really shows the common in to out swing.

I loved how the reel noise tempo was matched the speed of the playback. Nice subtle touch! Beautiful swings.

Just pay attention to the right elbow in the downswing. No matter the backswing length or depth, the right elbow is plastered to their ribs in the downswing.

true. I believe this is because all pros clear their lead hip very well and early. Causing their trail hip to get closer their elbow. Many people believe you should be dropping your elbow to your hip, but its the opposite. Your trail hip is actually towards your elbow

Very stable club face through the ball for all of these players. It's cool to watch this and compare it to back in the day where the toe up to toe up swing was taught. Glad we got away from that type of instruction. Nice video!

very important to notice that these are wedges and 9 irons. Players weight starts on left foot and stays there thruout swing. The goal here is precision...quiet body and really trap that ball.

I disagree about their weight starting and staying on the front. Definitely a weight shift but much lower than longer clubs.

@@brotherbread6549 Hey bud! So, with your wedges and lower irons there really shouldnt be any weight shift...you want to keep more weight on your left foot, ( for a righthander) and leave it there thruout the entire swing. If you dont do that now, try it! You will see yhat you dont lose and power but gain a lot of accuracy! If your dont believe me ask some tour players! You will see they all do it...
@jacobr4558
@jacobr4558 15 күн бұрын
What does that even mean to keep your weight on your left side? What muscles? Where on your foot? Is your head more toward the target? What exactly does it feel like? The reason I'm asking is because it's a very generic term to say keep your weight left that could mean 30 things to 30 people

You can kind of guess what shot shape they are using with each swing. I see some of them are aiming left and swinging out away from the body for a cut, and some are aiming right and playing a draw.

One thing I noticed among almost all of them: Big toe lifts on impact. I wonder if that helps with the follow through. I try to keep mine planted. Seems on impact more weight is on the outside and back of the lead foot, whereas my weight is more towards the ball and toes.

all pro have their front hip clear at impact, putting the weight in the heel of lead foot causing the foot to rise in most cases

Maybe if they weren't trying to hit the ball right to left, i would get more out of it. That pin is dangerous bailout right a bit.

I noticed how well they just allow the clubhead to swing to the top. They simply allow it to swing to the top vs placing it there. Interesting.

All are pretty much doing the same thing. Little nuances, but there is definitely a secret in the pivot. My backswing looks pretty much the same, but my downswing is too violent and I can’t seem to help myself. My right heel is coming up as soon as my backswing reaches the top. I know I’m not supposed to, but as soon as I try and hit with some speed it’s over.

Put an iron clubface under your back heel. Try to make swings without the club falling. Great drill to help with that

I’m reading between the lines looking at the details in body mechanics while buddy up there is watching with the wrong glasses prescription. Every guy on tour can obviously hit the ball well so when everyone can hit it well it becomes more about consistency. The simpler your movements from address to follow through the more efficient and consistent your swing will be. That’s what separates consistent winners from inconsistent winners.
