That super ultra slow motion on the phones is insane!! I can’t seem to get things clean on the slow motion in post edit but it is fun to play about with this function! Keep rocking dude 🤘🏻

Thanks brother. It's really amazing what the modern cell phone can do for sure. The go pro 8 I have...fell from the roof when I was setting up the overhead shot last year and didn't even get a scratch. I'm on the older side of the fence...so the tech learning curve doesn't always come easy...it is rewarding when we get it right though...lol.

@@VINTAGEBACKYARDRC Oh how I can relate to that mate.... Not far off 50 myself, and getting my head round some of this modern tech can be hard work, especially some of the poorly designed stuff! You were lucky with that go pro, but they certainly seem to be a fairly durable piece of kit. Unlike my Sony Xperia that I am currently typing this on with it's cracked screen as a result of filming our last video!!!! 🤣 😂 (monster beetle kills smartphone) Gravel, rc cars and mobile phones don't mix well! 👍 👍 👍 👍

Thanks so much. It's definitely frustrating at times and we miss a lot of shots (or capture slow motion failure) but our videos would not be the same without it at this point...lol.

You got it brother. Although I am a bit disappointed that the slow motion was the same as the s20 the s23 takes AMAZING running footage. Wife is due for a new phone soon and she likes Apple products so it will be neat to see what they have to offer. If shopping gopros the G11 is significantly nicer than my 8. Hopefully I find time to get a running video done this week to show off the new cam.

Very nice video, I looove slow motion slots of RC cars, especially when done properly! (and with the sound muted, of course, ha ha) I struggle with doing my own, I shoot 240fps on the Gopro 7, then slow down the clips in the app on my phone and rought edit them to the part I want, then change format and finally upload to somewhere, and only then I download it and put into actual editing software, all because I don't use a Windows PC, ha ha! The option to just use the phone is great, looks like smooth rendering on yours!

It's way easier to use the phones. I was actually a bit disappointed with the whole gopro deal (bouncing the video everywhere) but the g11 slowed down a little bit seems to capture the best overall (its way better in low light) so last two running videos I did have been gopro slomo. I thought this s23 ultra was going better because of the huge sensor it has...but Im not impressed so far.

I used to use the akaso action cameras to record my guitar shop videos but the I phone has better sound and video quality.. I may start using them again for some fpv shots in the future

Looking into some of the off brand action cams as well brother. I would honestly love to have all gopros so I can sync them all...but with all the stupid camera angles now...its way too $$.

I have struggled to get good slow motion. I shoot at full speed and slow things down in the editing software. It works well enough but it still isn't great. I think your videos are great so keep doing what you are doing!!

It's definitely something that I never get perfect but always enjoy putting in the running videos. Last few have been slowed down in rendering (gopros) but it's way easier for sure to just dump it from the phone. Appreciate it my friend as always.

Well. I am finding with todays phones? The quality is definitely pretty darn decent. Amazing in some cases. I think unless it's your job to produce videos? It is hard to pay for some of those high end cameras for sure. Thousands!!! I will never have that either. Nice comparison. :) thanks for sharing

You are welcome my friend and thanks. I would absolutely LOVE to have one of those nice DSLR setups...but it's not gonna happen anytime soon. The cell phone plus the gopro is netting me fair results so far and with most people watching stuff on their cell phones...even shooting in 4k is probably overkill for us. One of those things that will get better as the tech becomes affordable.

From that vantage point, the gopros seem almost too wide angle. Maybe they can work a different corner better? The S20 & 23 both are great.

I have the option to undo the wide angle on them and zoom in a bit. End result is about the same as far as smoothness goes. Honestly way easier to deal with the ready to go clips in the video software. Will probably use the new phone for slomo this season.
