Sina is almost unbelievable! She takes it slow at first but is pretty wild at the end! The best part is everything: the basic rock’n’roll groove is compelling, footwork likewise, and I really like the way she swats the cymbals .. all of them and frenzily. Time flies here. Sina has captivated me again. She is really into this music and lives it when she plays! She's the drum goddess alright!

I have probably have watched 20 or more Sina drum videos in the last two days and have read many comments by musicians that have played drums for decades. The common thing they mentioned is that Sina plays in the same style as the classic rock drummer that she is covering. She is simply a phenomenal talent. She also plays keyboards, guitar and bass. To quote a couple of post she is the Princess of Percussion or the Goddess of Drums. Most drummers have to audition for the band to be hired but in her case the band would have to audition for her.

The coolest thing to me is that many of us have been watching Sina for years now. When I first ran across one of her videos (by pure accident) I thought, WOW this little girl is good. Now we have gotten to watch her progress in her playing to the point of being just freakin' amazing. If you go back a few years and watch her she is constantly a half beat ahead with her eyes looking for what is next. Now she is much more fluid and she is no longer looking for "targets". I actually have been trying to figure out what she is focusing on but only she knows. There are many many drummers out there that have been playing for 25-30+ years that just don't have the pure natural talent that Sina has. My little brother got real serious about drumming years ago but he just didn't have it. Me, I play guitar and don't have the raw talent. I try to play as often as I can because it's hours upon hours of practice that is going to allow me to fake being an ok player. I swear I am tone deaf. LOL One of my favorite things she does in some of her videos that proves she just loves to play is she will flash that infectious smile and you know she is really having fun.

@indimikes
@indimikes 4 жыл бұрын
According to Steve Vai, what does the trick is to not focus at all, disconnect your thinking from your playing, just let it flow. Sounds easy, but definitely takes years and years of practice to reach that state of mind. I totally recommend watching Steve's youtube guitar lessons, he is just great at explaining these things, great tips for any musician, no matter what instrument you play.

Just listen to this and I'm just awe-strucked in Sina playing Foghat's Slow Ride. Roger Earl would be proud of her. I'm a fan of Foghat and I seen them in Atlanta in 1981. Rod Price wasn't with them at the time I saw them but that was him on lead/ slide guitar. Lonesome Dave Prevett on rythym and lead singer. Tony Stevens on bass. Roger Earl on Drums. Slow Ride was recorded in 1975. I noticed a slight hiccup during the song just before the speed up tempo but still, you pulled it off. Best to you today in the future Sina and I hope to hear you drum more songs from Foghat. Rest in Peace Lonesome Dave and Rod Price.

I tell people that thumbs down on a stellar video (like this one) is part of the YT algorithm. The algorithm cannot tolerate thousands of thumbs up with zero thumbs down. A small amount of thumbs down is a way to prevent gaming the system. Of course I made this up and the reality is that 11 haters got nothing better to do. I bet it is jealous ex-classmates or something equally petty

I finally saw Foghat live in concert at Wild Adventures, south of Valdosta, Georgia in August, 2022 (yeah, I know, I was very late to the party) and they played like fire on the mountain and the current lineup was led by original member/drummer Roger Earl. I’m glad Mr. Earl had the chance to scope out Sina’s fantastic musicianship. Both Lonesome Dave Peverette and Rod Price are smiling down from heaven. Fact. Rock on, Sina and stay safe.

Long before Sina was born, I played bass in a band, and this was our encore. Every knob on every amp cranked to max...but our drummer couldn't come near this performance. Skill is one thing, but to keep that energy through a 9 minute song takes serious stamina. She really IS the whole package!
