I think another advantage with slow spinny topspin is that it's easier to place the loop shorter on the table (as a variation). This forces a blocker to reach in and catch right off bounce. Of course these are easier to punch kill, but as a variation very effective

I have a question about what momentum of the ball when we need to brush it against our bat? Sometimes I get the ball earlier and it flies over the table and vice versa. Ty, great video also!
@pingskills
@pingskills 9 жыл бұрын
+Nicholas Suhardi You need your bat to moving fast but then just brush the ball finely, that is what will generate all the spin you need.

*Is faster an Hurricane 3 or Hurricane 2 and which give more spin? The same thing with Skyline 3 and Skyline 2. which rubber can be similiar at Tenergy 64 ? Is better 1.8mm or 2.00mm on backhand ? Thanks*

+JacK We aren't really equipment experts and I haven't tried any of those rubbers. Do you use any of them at the moment?
@JacK46
@JacK46 9 жыл бұрын
PingSkills *Yes, I use hurricane 3, because I've bought pre-assambled racket. Is the DHS A6002 model. Mine should be original because I get all the precautions before buy it. Unfortunaly mine is came without silver sticker that should demostrate the autenticity of the racket al 100%... Only for this thing i'm not sure at 100 % of his autenticity. The frame isn't a lot hard and for me, the H3 lose a lot of speed. On the other side I've got Tin arc 3 and i'm very satisfied from the performance of this rubber but is thin for me (maybe is 1.8mm). I would change H3 (H3 is my forehand rubber 2.00 mm I think) with another DHS rubber, but i'm searching information everywhere without have a good response. If someone read this comment and have some extra info on this rubber contact me here. Thanks PingSkills from answer me, I've appreciate your interest.*

PingSkills *And for the rubber thickness ? We forgot this details. Which one is recommended on backhand? 1.8 or 2.00 mm? Which rubber can be similiar to Tenergy 64 ? Thanks*
@pingskills

+JacK Again the thickness you like is a personal preference. I like the 2.0mm thickness. The thicker the sponge the faster it will be.

jeff can you tell me the best serve to get the points
@pingskills
@pingskills 7 жыл бұрын
It really depends on what your opponent doesn't like. I'd suggest starting with the Tomahawk serve and experimenting with different serves after that. Take a look at our tutorials on this subject: www.pingskills.com/categories/serving-and-receiving Good luck!

Hello, when I try to do the slow spinny topspin, the ball tends to go outside of the table, any suggestions how I can keep it inside the table while still putting lots of spin in the ball?
@pingskills
@pingskills 6 жыл бұрын
Interesting. Often you need to brush the ball even more so that you get more topspin and less forward momentum. That gives the ball more chance of going on the table. The topspin helps drag the ball down and not have the ball moving too fast also helps.

What if my action is more forward instead of vertical(maybe like 45degrees?), but still maintaining a fine brushing contact?
@pingskills
@pingskills 8 жыл бұрын
+GoodOldTawm KOTH That is fine and will be a very effective stroke too. It just won't be as slow as if you have a more horizontal stroke which is what we were trying to teach here as a variation. It's great to be able to do all kinds of speeds and spins. Keep up the good work :)

How can brushing be perfect in forehand topspin
@pingskills
@pingskills 5 жыл бұрын
It comes down to making a fast contact but only just touching the ball enough to generate the required spin and speed.

The microphone quality is strange in about every video, have you considered changing it?
@pingskills
@pingskills 9 жыл бұрын
+Cute Hamster Even in this video? We have tried a few different options. I think part of the problem is that the shed in which we film has a large echo.
@LapahnYT
@LapahnYT 9 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's mainly an echo that causes the sound problem. I'm not an audio expert but I guess there would be some software or microphone settings to change that. Or maybe use a clip microphone clipped to your tshirt neck?
@pingskills
@pingskills 9 жыл бұрын
+Cute Hamster We were using a clip tied to the t-shirt in this video. We have looked a bit at this and it's not an easy problem to solve. We are going to get some taraflex flooring which may absorb some of the echo.

When I do this stroke, the ball goes too high, enabling my opponent to smash the ball, what should I do to make the ball lower?
@pingskills
@pingskills 6 жыл бұрын
If you get a lot of topspin on the ball then sometimes having the ball go high is not bad. But you can get the ball lower by brushing the ball more and then it will have more topspin and not go as high.

My topspin is always so slow and so spinny that it's a problem.Lot's of players can't return it at all but when more experienced players return it i'm in problem.
@pingskills

It is a good shot to have. Even against experienced players it can work well especially if mixed in with some faster topspins. Keep working on developing that faster stroke too. Good luck!
