Ooh Kate! How fun was that haul! I somehow missed this video. I myself had a wonderful haul yesterday and my excitement and happiness went through the roof! You’d absolutely love some of the things I got because they’re unfinished projects and one in particular screams Kate in Kansas! I’ll try do a special video for you Kate on my channel, I’m not very good at it and camera shy but I’ll give it a go when I get some free time. Bringing back things from another country would be such a delight. I myself can’t fly so that won’t happen for me I don’t think. Where ever I go on holidays, my first thing is to suss out the opshops lol stay safe ! 🌸🦋

I loved seeing all your finds, all extremely gorgeous ! It made me smile to hear you talk about your french knots 😊 I was educated in a convent and one of the nuns taught me how to do french knots. They pop up all over the place in my work ! Long may you enjoy doing them ! Have fun with your sewing, by the way I fell in love with the little embroidered bluebirds, oh my !! 😊💜

I don't know where you were in the states but I'm from Tennessee and hand embroidered pieces are everywhere. I'm sure we have places that would amaze you. You have to travel the backrooms. I am glad you found some treasures in the U S. I am excited to see how you use them. The Domino sugar sack that you found is a well known brand and still sold in stores here. I have never seen a sugar sack like that before. I am happy that you are getting out and finding some things and not spending all of your time in the hotel. You can always stitch more on your way home.

@@kateinthenest I think the feed bags would be much the same, but the fabric probably thicker. I don't know how long ago the Domino sugar came in the cloth bags. I think probably in the 20's or 30's. Of course now they are in plastic bags and some of the smaller sizes come in boxes. Wishing you good luck finding more treasures!

I’m excited for you with all your treasures, I’d need 10 suitcases to bring home……. I went to LA in 2016, if I’d been stitching then my suitcase would have been busting open and probably turfed out my clothes.🤣 lovely seeing your haul of stuff.

Oh my gosh. I go into antique stores and things just start yelling at me to take them home. I strongly believe the two of us in an antique store would be seriously dangerous to our budgets !!! The blue butterfly on the placemat instantly said to me, "I need to go on a small denim journal as my blue shading with blend beautifully ". Did he talk to you as well. Wonderful treasures Kate. Score❣️🥰 birds & butterfly 🦋 All of it fabulous. I went thrifting & found a 1979 reader’s digest needlework book, a box of library pockets & 2 small grab bags of thread & notions…if a bag of thread has 1 wooden 🧵…it’s like I’m an addict 😂 I didn’t open anything & barely opened the book. I’m going to do a short video haul. My daughter is here from 6 hrs away. I was going to watch the grand puppies while she went away & her car died on her way here… so we’re car shopping 🤪 ( She bought it new 14 years ago, it had a good life😎). How long are you in the states?

Kate your purchases definitely were treasures. I don't usually watch your slow Stitch videos because I'm not doing slow stitching right now I have problems because of pain that I meant that didn't make it possible to do slow stitching. But I'm so glad that I have seen some of your work oh my gosh woman it is beyond beautiful.
