Hola, hello. Not much work getting done here because I'm binge watching you to catch up. When we first moved to Spain from the he UK 18 years ago, we had bought a large plot of land. We lived on that land for 6 years completely off grid, no water, no electric, no mod cons. The best years ever. We then built a beautiful, large, modern house. Lived in that ror 10years, now moved on to another simple lifestyle... We just need your energy as we wre many years older, but we love our life. Hugs, Patsy ❤️

I so enjoy watching all the progress in your new home. Continue to do what you love!
I really enjoyed all the nature sounds, like the birds and the rain. It's really beautifull to see how close connected you are to nature.

Like you I often forget to put my garden gloves on, and then hurt my finger ... So I know about Yarrow (there's plenty of it in my garden). I didn't know Plantain works too, I thought it was only for stings (of nettles and insects).

loved watching your video. Hope everything goes well with your husband's family. As I'm watching your video I remember when I was maybe 5 or 6 years old, and I used to go to my grandmother's house. There was no water or electricity at that time connected to the houses ( this is in the center of Portugal, more precisely in the Abrantes area and this was maybe 50 years ago, not revealling my age, hahahahaha) I can actually relate to the washing of dishes. By the way, love that you have like 3 racks of drying dishes... love it! You are making your dream come true... but until it is real you have to work hard for it. You are going on the right path just BE STRONG AND carry on it will come easier with time. I'll take my hat for you, well done!

Love these videos! Just one or two tips for cutting the gras with the Scythe: 1. you finish the "swing" too early. You should turn your upper body from one side to the other... and not form one side to the middle. And 2. the scythe should never nowhere be more than a handspan above the ground. Think of it as "dancing" the gras away "with the scythe rather than "hacking" it. :-)

Super interesting video. I would love such slowly life. In fact I had it, when my first child was at pre-kindergarten age. But right from kindergarten you have to stick to certain times and even much more with school. Otherwise I would do things at my own pace or according to seasons or day-night- rhythm. But I feel very lazy for feeling like this because I know other people must stick to even much stricter time tables.

What has been the hardest adjustment so far? I think not being able to take a shower would be toughest for me.
@Casanelmonte7 ай бұрын
I actually take showers in the river and I thought it would be super hard but I love it so much now. I think the hardest adjustment for me has been living in a space that is constantly full of dust, so much, everywhere. And it's basically impossible to remove it because it's coming from the unfinished walls which are constantly shedding micro particles everywhere 🙈 I'm getting used to it but I'll never enjoy it. It's just one of those things that you hope will change soon🙏🏼

lovely vid to watch. I hope you are not using straw from barley. I used barley straw one year in my garden….I was CONSTANTLY pulling baby barley plants from the garden. It was very tedious and time consuming. Hay straw doesn’t have the seeds in it like straw from barley.
