El sonido postpunk de Slowdive que su productor de la época (comienzos de los 90) no quiso poner en ningún album, pues ya a esa altura decían que ese estilo era parte del pasado. Es más, hasta al shoegazing y dreampop las disqueras famosas británicas le dieron un patada en ese momento por fijarse más en el Britpop y otras corrientes un poco más comerciales El postpunk revival desde el año 2000, el Shoegaze, dreampop, y el synthpop están más vivos que nunca como parte de la era Nu New Wave que se refresca año tras año con nuevas bandas.

@@pocketpicker6613 Creation fucked that record up inconceivably. The fact that it's still arguably the best shoegaze record even though it was nothing like Slowdive had actually intended for it to be is a testament to how incredible they are. What a tumultuously beautiful legacy of a band.
