These guys are great. If they were a new band they would still be great. Its completely irrelevant how old they are, or their collective past. They were so poorly treated by the British music establishment, and like many interesting bands in the 1990's (i'm thinking of the House of Love for one) they were brushed aside by the macho nonsense of Brit pop and US grunge. The music sounds fresh and interesting. I hope Slowdive continue recording & playing together. What they are doing with guitars is utterly compelling.

They morphed into Mojave 3 and I also got those CDs as well as Neil Halstead and Rachel Goswell’s albums. Then I lost track of them. To see this performance is fantastic. I was a big fan of them and most of the 4AD artists as well. Mid/late 80s up to mid 90s was a great period of terrific and innovative music from the UK. Glad I collected every album I could as some were limited EPs and import only. This was way before KZbin so if I didn’t get them from my favorite alternative shop (Vintage Vinyl in Evanston, IL) I would never see them again. Now through the gift of KZbin there are additional works and video performances, so once again I can experience the great artists play again…
