My Dad worked for Chrysler. When assembly plant was shut down to retool for vehicles. 95% of their pay. Next product at Brampton is Jeep Compass. Must be redesign, I did like style of compass, I bought 2019 Jeep Cherokee Overland 4x4 2.0 liter engine.

@@michaelriebandt6754 the 95% is good news as potentially a shutdown could be imminent due to lack of poor sales. Would suck to penalize the workers based on poor decisions by management. 😕. I bought a ‘21 Grand Cherokee before the prices started to inflate, they gave me a decent discount off Msrp, a higher value for my trade than other dealers offered, and 0% financing on the remaining. Then prices started to skyrocket on both used and new vehicles. I had several calls after my deal was complete as the dealership wanted to buy the Grand Cherokee back for their used inventory and even after having owned it for a year they offered to buy for very close to what I paid for it. Due to the lower than average resale value of a Grand Cherokee I probably should have taken them up on the offer but at the time prices for other brands were also inflated and no one had vehicles on their lots so I’d have had to overpay for something else and/or not get a vehicle that I really wanted.

My 2011 Highlander is getting ready to hit 300,000 miles. Except for replacing all four door actuators FOUR TIMES, they should have been recalled, it has been a flawless vehicle. I'm trying to reach 400,000 miles. By then I should be able to get a new Mustang EV for $500.00

As a Mopar fan, they priced me out for the quality they offer. Also the gateway connection for the OBD2 preventing me off resetting my maintenance counter myself when I maintain the vehicle myself is also a killing point.

Luckily not as much in the way of dealer antics where I live (Canada), but still pricey. If my Rebel wasn't marked down 10k from msrp, I wouldn't have given it a second look. You can bypass the security gateway module with a $20 cable. The oil reset, the only real maintenance counter per-say, doesn't need the bypass, as it's a feature of the evic.

It is not uncommon to see 5/8 or 5/5 cars at a charging site be Mach-e. Sales are up 80% YoY in Feb. Outselling Chevy Bolt (discontinued last year but dregs still around). Yet they are enthusiastic about dead Bolt and joke about Mach-e, which is suppressed due to loss of tax credit.

Just wanted to point out that these lists aren't actually the fastest/slowest selling vehicles. Going off of market day supply is just listing how well the manufacturers have the supply/demand dialed in on particular models. For example the RAV4 is selling 1500 per day even though they have a 31 day market supply that's a lot faster selling than the Kia K5 which sells about 85 per day which has a 21 day market supply. Not saying this isn't valuable info for finding deals, but market day supply doesn't always equal fast or slow selling.

Hey Fellas Love the Show. Just thought id share with you why i know Stelantis dealers are losing their shirts. Went into my Fiat dealership looking for a rear drivers side light connector with pigtails, now bear in mind the part can be had on amazon for $10.17. The Parts Dept didn't have it in stock, however they said they could order it and ONLY for a STAGGERING $225.00. I asked the guy please make sure that were talking the exact part and he assured me that it was. I then asked him do i get Vaseline with the #ss #ucking he was about to impart on me? Then i told him the amazon price. BOY WAS HE SHEEPISH LOOKING. Check Alternative pricing BEFORE you go to a DEALER PARTS DEPT.

Bought a chrysler 300C last year because I've never owned anything higher than 4 cylinders and I've always wanted a big ol v8. Well it's getting some body work done in a shop right now (surprise plastic bucket in the highway) and so I took a '23 Camry as my rental. The interior and ride quality comparison is night and day difference. Stellantis desperately need to catch up to the current decade and stop living in 2014. I still love my big v8, but after seeing what Toyota have been doing, it's kind of a shock. I was driving a 2014 corrola before the 300 so it did feel like an upgrade.

We lived in Lynchburg Campbell County) in the 90's and it was not bad then for a new 1995 Buick Regal with State Farm. Property Taxes on the car were higher than the insurance.

The 2023/2024 Land Rover Range Rover will be top on the list for cost to maintain and unreliability in 5 to 6 years. I wouldn't purchase a new Range Rover for 70k, much less the asking MSRP of 140k+. The Lexus GX is tempting, though.

It is not totally fair to include all sq8’s in this figure. Some builds sit for a very long time, such as oddly optioned vehicles, or sq8’s with small non sporty wheels. If you spend 100k, why not get exactly what you want? Oh wait, you just did 😅

But probably opting for the SQ8. It comes on 22” all season tires, etc more practical. The RSQ on factory 23, summer tires, I live in NE USA. don’t really feel like changing to 21 or 22 with all seasons on them every November. Driving them both…I wasn’t impressed that much more with the RSQ. it didn’t wow me. It was just like….eeeehh…

In 1967 Cadillac slow walked the sensational new El Dorado into the market. Their factory lines were slowed for their best employees, build quality was excellent from the start and demand was high. They deliberately kept inventory lower than demand to feed desire for the El Dorado. This list is partly about inventory and brand image, not market demand. Land Rover and Lexus do NOT want discounts for penny pinchers!

I was on dodge website and inventory on hornet has gone down. Challenger 15,000 vehicles total at dealers getting harder and harder to finding dodge challenger hellcat redeye looking since after Christmas. One I find hugh dealer mark up. I do not understand that?

Tell them I want to buy “x” car, I’m willing to pay, “x” dollars. If you can give me that price, I’ll buy it today. If you say, “can you lower the price” they will most likely say no, they won’t negotiate with themselves.

It's interesting that the expensive Range Rover is in high demand because historically they seemed to have had a wretched frequency of repair record. I say that without hard data, mostly just an impression from things I have read in the past. I suspect the vehicle has snob appeal, and if you can afford to buy it you can afford to fix it often.

A lot, if not all of those Range Rovers are custom orders made months ago. It is expected that delivery happens shortly after the dealer receive the unit. In addition, are lot of new car clients dump their Land Rovers when nearing out of warranty. That being said, the new Rovers are still way better than those in the past and are one of the best vehicles on the road…. If you can afford one.

@@chadhaire1711 Range Rovers qualify for a tax write-off for business owners since its over 6000lbs GVWR. You can deduct the entire amount in the first year as a capital expenditure.

I'm a Mopar fan. I have a 2014 ram 1500 that I bought brand new. I needed a smaller car for putting around and parking in Boston as well as family trips. I was waiting to see how the Dodge hornet would be, and decided against it. So for only the second time in my life, I bought something other than an American vehicle. I just bought a loaded mint 2023 Subaru Outback Touring XT turbo.

RAM is not American...it is an import, owned by Europeans and many are made in Mexico......Most Subaru's are made in USA. Better get with the times kid

@@chadhaire1711 I'm well aware that ram is owned by a non-US company. Lots of US cars and trucks are made in Mexico, it's not exclusive to Chrysler. As far as quality goes, many would compare ram with the Nissan. Not great, but I haven't had any major issues. Many of the Subarus are still built in Japan. Subaru has been building more factories in the US, to speed up production as well. I take care of my cars, I did have one problem with the truck that I spend $40 of my own money to fix. It's 10 years old and I've only put one set of tires and brakes on it.

I've wanted a Ram truck for over a year. Prices are starting to come down. Still too rich for my blood though. I'll hold onto what I have until they drop further. They still have new 2022's. Those should be priced as low mileage used. How do the prevent mice from making a home in them? I'd be worried about the prospect of electrical issues with those now.

Can dealers manipulate the days on market? I've been watching a 2023 Dodge Challenger at a local dealer, it's been for sale for over 6 months and Caredge used to show that, but now it's showing only 34 days on the market. How could that be manipulated?

Never even heard of the Hornet, never seen an Audio SQ8. Haven't seen a 2024 BWM X2 for a couple years. With Range Rovers being so popular, I figure that there's lots of people out there that hate money.

This really isn't fastest/slowest selling vehicles list. Low day supply could be low production, the opposite for high days supply. It's simply a comparison of production amount vs sales.

Yeah this what has happened with a couple of the Dodge models. Dodge had a set amount of Chargers they were going to build no matter what before they permanently ended production. So dealers were flooded with Chargers. As far as the Hornet goes, you couldn't find a Hornet at first from any dealership and now Dodge has flooded dealers with Hornets so yes it will be a while before they get all sold. The Hornet is a lot better than it was just a couple of months ago as far as days of inventory left. They've lost nearly 200 days of inventory.
