@bdawg89076 ай бұрын
@@michaelriebandt6754 the 95% is good news as potentially a shutdown could be imminent due to lack of poor sales. Would suck to penalize the workers based on poor decisions by management. 😕. I bought a ‘21 Grand Cherokee before the prices started to inflate, they gave me a decent discount off Msrp, a higher value for my trade than other dealers offered, and 0% financing on the remaining. Then prices started to skyrocket on both used and new vehicles. I had several calls after my deal was complete as the dealership wanted to buy the Grand Cherokee back for their used inventory and even after having owned it for a year they offered to buy for very close to what I paid for it. Due to the lower than average resale value of a Grand Cherokee I probably should have taken them up on the offer but at the time prices for other brands were also inflated and no one had vehicles on their lots so I’d have had to overpay for something else and/or not get a vehicle that I really wanted.

Just wanted to point out that these lists aren't actually the fastest/slowest selling vehicles. Going off of market day supply is just listing how well the manufacturers have the supply/demand dialed in on particular models. For example the RAV4 is selling 1500 per day even though they have a 31 day market supply that's a lot faster selling than the Kia K5 which sells about 85 per day which has a 21 day market supply. Not saying this isn't valuable info for finding deals, but market day supply doesn't always equal fast or slow selling.

I think how the data is collected and how we define "fastest selling" is the issue here. I would rather be selling Rav4's than the fastest selling Range Rover considering the low volumes of the RR.
@roaddog75426 ай бұрын
You're correct. It's not a fastest or slowest selling list. It's a fastest or slowest to sell out based on inventory.

The Ford Maverick sold nearly 100k units for 2023 - The Hyundai Santa Cruz pickup that the Maverick competes with sold around 30k units so not sure if that's "slow" but it's certainly less.

Something that is interesting that I learned this weekend is my local Land Rover dealer dropped Jaguar for 2024, as have over half of all JLR dealers in Canada! I'm smelling the end of Jaguar.

Ford and Chrysler need to stop making cars that there's no market demand for. Who asked for an electric Mustang SUV? No one, that's who. But not to fear, I'm sure the new EV Charger will knock it down a spot on the list. If Dodge makes more than 500 of them they're officially insane.

I've been getting a lot of ads in the last few days for the Mach-E Mustang, claiming 0% for 72 months. Now I know why.
@johnnyx98926 ай бұрын
The battery will be worthless well before the 72 months have passed. The only way to experiment with any of the E vehicles is with a lease. At least you aren't stuck with a dead "Energizer Bunny".🤣🤣🤣

Any tips on getting a used vehicle on a used car lot that's exactly what i want but overpriced by several thousands?
@DavidDouglasToth6 ай бұрын
Tell them I want to buy “x” car, I’m willing to pay, “x” dollars. If you can give me that price, I’ll buy it today. If you say, “can you lower the price” they will most likely say no, they won’t negotiate with themselves.

Wow. The SQ8 #2? Damn. I just ordered one. I wish I knew a month ago. I did get 7k off though. And you’re right, I had no idea what a dodge hornet was
@jordanstubbs76586 ай бұрын
It is not totally fair to include all sq8’s in this figure. Some builds sit for a very long time, such as oddly optioned vehicles, or sq8’s with small non sporty wheels. If you spend 100k, why not get exactly what you want? Oh wait, you just did 😅

@@jordanstubbs7658 yes, ASCARI blue. Black optics package, black 22” wheels. I also have a RSQ8 Ordered in Navarre blue. Arrive on same boat/truck. I will decide then. But probably opting for the SQ8. It comes on 22” all season tires, etc more practical. The RSQ on factory 23, summer tires, I live in NE USA. don’t really feel like changing to 21 or 22 with all seasons on them every November. Driving them both…I wasn’t impressed that much more with the RSQ. it didn’t wow me. It was just like….eeeehh…

Hi, can you please talk Maroney stickers and how factory is adding on these things (cargo nets, wheel locks) before shipping to dealer? I believe it is illegal to modify the maroney sticker - and dealers are saying they can’t remove the charge for these because it’s on the maroney sticker. Also, sales managers say they have no say in what manufacturer sends them. So they can’t order vehicles without it.

I own my 2017 Accord V6 3.5 liter EX-L that I purchased in 2017. There’s something to be said about not having to make ridiculously expensive monthly car payments. Don’t fall into the trap of trading your vehicle in every few years, they benefit while you lose every time. The last thing they want you to do is pay it off and keep it. Automobile prices are far too expensive because we play their foolish games.
