You are right, I practice intermittent fasting as much as I can, combined with a healthy diet it is very much the best way to stay in shape, when you don't work out. Of course it is always healthier to workout as well. As for Marilyn Monroe, I appreciate her a lot too. She was a very sensitive person(by this I refer to emotional intelligence), but unfortunately surrounded by toxic and deadly individuals. As you said, unfortunately she wasn't given the opportunity to show herself and her talent. May be she should have ceased the opportunity herself.

omg i have the same thing that voice that tells me get out and excercise like it pushes me it’s annoying and when i tell myself today is a rest day it’s hard to rest i wanna keep going . does ur gym have a sauna ? i have one a steam sauna in my finished basement it helps so much with pain . it works wonders . get ur body healing without ur health you have nothing . very true statement

Yeah, it does have a sauna, but it's been broken for the past couple of months :-/ I tried hot bath today

Lol love flicking the bad voice telling you to do more. I’m in the same boat. Pain makes things annoyingly frustratingly slowwww and unproductive. And no sugar no chocolate is brutal. Lol. I have been flipping between letting go of sugar and not chocolate bc I can have it in protein shakes that are sugar free. Drinking them actually makes me not crave sugar and chocolate as much actually. This weekend is my birthday and I let myself buy a few treats. I felt sick earlier so just ordered a stouffers grandma’s casserole but your eastern euro potatoes looks a lot better. I got some brownies and coffe ice cream for my bday, stuff to make homemade sub sandwiches and chips. All stuff I don’t buy normally. I had chips while waiting to cook the casserole and ended up feeling like crap and still needed to eat. I found the blueberries to be the most yummy over chips and having some ice cream lol. I spoiled myself eating healthy lately before this weekend and now junk food just makes me feel ick. And funny you are talking tonsils out bc I have to have mine out the third week of july. I got some good pain meds and numbing lollipops from the compounding pharmacy. I’m so scared bc I’ve heard how awful it is to get tonsils out for adults. My Chinese doctor suggested egg drop soup lol. I am down for anything that’s tolerable but I think it’s going to be water and popsicles if I can tolerate them. I will get some bananas per your experience. My best weight loss has been following macro diet. You seem like you are thin and healthy and don’t have a weight issue at all. More being hard on yourself. Just eat healthy and go to the gym and allow yourself to have some treats if you are working out. The Marilyn Monroe story is great. Very motivating and true for so many things in life to be ready for when the opportunity comes along for many different things. On getting work done, do you have focus problems right now. It might be trauma based ptsd or accute stress making it hard to concentrate. Have you considered taking your reading and work to a quiet part of a park to work outside or is it too distracting? An intimacy scene sounds hard especially right now but that’d be true acting ability right now. Is this for stage or screen? Lol re pragmatic and not romantic. Your knee you may have a torn meniscus. Have you seen a doctor or specialist for that and your shoulder ? Sounds like a lot of things happening at once but when stress is so high stuff like that happens. When you do go walking or to the gym running try to be careful about form and maybe do a more gentle workout for awhile to let your body recover even after these things resolve. But the under the kneecap thing sounds like a meniscus problem. Your English is so good how long have you lived in the United States. Also sounds like you miss the good things about home and need to do more honoring of your home country and culture. Are there Ukrainian friends there or a group you can join to just get some home culture? I know my caregiver/friend would be making you some borcht, or this time of year we relished our garden produce. We both had a community garden plot and grew tomatoes and cucumbers , plenty of dill and other things. She was teaching me so many soups and salads and made me need dill with so many things lol. Maybe take a backpack salad pocnic to the park and do your work outside when you are up to it. First some actual rest and possibly have your knee and shoulder checked. High stress can trigger autoimmune illness so don’t let it go that far. Fight back with self care. You are smart and seem like you have so much potential but are in need of some time to just cut back to the basics and get on top of that and having time to breathe. Keep flicking the annoying voice and tell them to shut the f up bc you’re doing the best you can. You have a lot going on personally and work wise so try to pull back on anything that’s too extra and just focus on the priorities and rest. That’s my unsolicited advice. Lol. Yes!!! Pain does make everything soooo slooooowwww!! And it's so annoying! But I think I'm on my way of accepting that slow progress is the fastest. Happy birthday weekend!!!! It's here to enjoy anything you want!! I want to wish you only the best! I hope your health will gradually but steadily be getting better and stronger and you will have more and more reasons to enjoy life! Oh gosh, I hope your tonsils removal goes well. Are you healing quickly? I'm very slow in healing and that was the main reason why it was so bad for me - I just physically couldn't swallow - it was soooo painful and I started bleeding right away. That's why I only ate soft food. What was a game changer for me is lidocaine spray. It numbed the area and I was able to eat something and drink some water. After it I switched to ice cream that was like frozen juice. It froze the operated area and I was able to swallow something. Oh, I've never heard of macro diet. I'll read about it. I'm what is called skinny fat. I don't feel comfortable in my own body. So, the goal is to improve the quality of the body - make it more lean. Acting has a lot to do with the look - and I like the look of a lean body. I feel more confident then. Oh yeah, getting work done is a challenge. Attention span is minimal. Very possible it is the stress reaction. . I noticed the change first when the war started. My memory and attention got really bad. I used to be a good script supervisor - can't do that job anymore. Memorizing lines was a huge challenge. Now it's better. Uh-oh... I hope it's not a torn meniscus. That would be bad. I want to give it and my shoulder another week to rest before I start any physical activity again. But when I start I want to be very slow and gentle. I was too aggressive.
