What an amazing ride this show was! It definitely evoked some of the same feelings as when I first completed 2077, and once again the music played a big part in that. Honestly, I was floored when 'Outsider No More' started playing, not to mention 'Major Crimes' too! LOVE IT!!

Shows like Edgerunners are important, because of what message and lessons has thought us, the importance of being in a relationships like friendship or even romantic once. This show have shown that being around people that are ready to help you and stand to fight with you are the best companions you can ever have in your life.

I wasn't sure what to think of this show when it dropped into my 'new stuff to watch' pile a few days ago. Ended up binge watching it over two days, and was feeling rather emotional near the end. The core story is solid, the story arcs that the characters are trapped in, the endless nightmare of Night City, and the search for redemption amidst what is essentially a prison. It matches the Cyberpunk 2077 game's story quite well too, especially the bad ending (you know the one). Happiness is just a fleeting memory.

Of all the musics used in this show, my top favorites are I Really Want To Stay At Your House, Major Crimes & one that is missing in this compil : Zurawie - Wydech/Ugory !!! SPOILERS AHEAD !!! - - - - - - - This show made me love characters so quickly that it speaks for itself. A really good writing of the story, great characters with exotic/different personalities. The protagonist breaking the codes of the "main character special power up plot" when David mentions he's special altough he is like all the others, that he doesn't have the upper hand. Lucy being written in a way girls would act when one would start liking someone : "mimimi i'm distant i'm silent and i'm waiting but i'm also a bit jealous and i care for you" The fact that the main character is going for someone else's dream (In this case Lucy's) is breathtaking because it feels different, not for the sake of being different, but thanks to the character development in this show. I love it ! Zurawie plays at this exact timestamp kzbin.info/www/bejne/oni8nZ1ji9iAaNU 3:07 , when Maine becomes a cyberpsycho and ends himself before completely losing it... Still one of my saddest moments in this show because you can feel the bond between him and david. The scene takes so long in the anime that you can see Maine slowly going psycho, but also seeing the explosion from David's sandevistan's slowly killing him. We all felt it, didn't we?😔And it hurts a lot when you know he's all carring and friendly under that robust appearance. "This is the end of the line for me, but not for you. Just keep running. Fast is what you do best, ain't it?" 😢

*SPOILER WARNING* Yknow, I think these endings (show and game) hit hardest because they are actually 'good' endings, just twisted and full of loss. V, whatever you choose, does survive Johnny's engram devouring their brain, if only for a little while. They also get to be a legend of the city one way or another, and in some they escape it entirely. Their stated aim for the entire game does get fulfilled, the player just chooses exactly what form that takes and what they lose in achieving it. David I feel gets a lot of stick for not really having a dream of his own, but did he really need one? His dream was to make the dreams of those around him come true. His dream was to keep the promises he made. He was the rare selfless man in NC. That, I think, is admirable in itself. He wanted to see the dreams of his friends/parent fulfilled, and he did. He also wanted to stick it to the corps, and by god did he succeed in doing that. He gave his life for someone else and found meaning in his own death, which in NC is a hell of a win if you ask me. He also went out sane, despite everything life threw at him. Lucy gets to go to the moon, and the bittersweet nature of it is that ofc now she is without her love, but she is finally safe and away from it all. That's a priceless gift, and I'm sure she can see it for what it is. Rebecca we can never know the exact wishes of, but the one character line we do get from her is wanting to mean something to David, and whaddaya know - right at the end she is the most important person in the world for him. I ain't gonna lie choombas, it hits like a truck, but there are grains of gold in all this blood and rubble. That's what makes these endings so painful, that's what makes them more than doom-laden gorefests. There's meaning and hope, even in the darkest moments. That's cyberpunk, and it's why I love it.

the show was absolutely beautiful. wished for a different ending but it was obvious from the start i guess. as a great man once said, for folks like them its wrong city and wrong people. also, bring lucy to dlc as a character cdpr, just do it.
